    Thank you for the video! Just set mine up. A question I had was whether or not you had to use salt or if you could use bromine or chlorine instead. I think somewhere in the comments it mentions you do not have to use salt for this model. However, this new model with the saltwater system will only accept salt. Otherwise, you will get an E91 error for low salt. Also, when you turn the bubbles on to dissolve the salt quicker, the manual says to do so for an hour. It also says to turn the sanitize function on for the full 8 hours after dissolving the salt. Note - You cannot heat the hot tub at the same time as the sanitize step. I heated my hot tub as soon as the 8 hour sanitization was complete. The duration for the bubbles and sanitation was left out in this video so I wanted to add those durations in this comment as per the manual.
    For the correct Intex phone app, be sure to scan the QR code in the manual. I had downloaded the wrong Intex app which I discovered when I was having difficulty connecting the WiFi to the hot tub removable panel. As soon as I scanned the QR code and downloaded the correct app, it connected without issues!
    I placed the hot tub on foam tiles on my backyard concrete patio. I bought the graywood foam tile puzzle pieces from Home Depot and put them down for not only better insulation, but also for better protection of the underside of the hot tub and comfort to step on when getting in and out of the hot tub. I needed 16 of the 24”x24” tiles and I have the 6 person hot tub model. They have two different graywood tiles at Home Depot. Go with the darker graywood tiles for more of an exact match of the graywood hot tub.
    I’ll add to this if I come across any other helpful information to compliment this video.

    I purchased this and set it up in an hour on yesterday. If the valves aren't perfectly aligned and hand tightened you will get a leak and see the E90.The first time I hand tightened the valves one was crooked. Unscrewed it and screwed it back in correctly. Then I unplugged it and it reset it. I sanitized mine for 3H. Then last night at 11pm put on the heat. This morning at 6am it's already up to 82 degrees! I know if people who go in it can't be dirty or have any lotions or products on their skin, so make sure everyone even the women take off all make up as well has rinsing product out of hair. Take a shower already before anyone enters as well as clean swimsuits. I put in 5.5 pounds of the Pool Salt and it is perfect. My pool supply guy told me to add the salt every 3-6 months.I plan on emptying and cleaning mine every few months because I have OCD. LOL! The PH balance with let you know....read the manual about the PH balance levels and how it should read with the little stick it provides. All you do is put it in the water and it will tell you exactly if it's low medium or too high. I'm very happy with mine so far and hoping the heat will be ready later today. I did put a tarp under the bubble tarp for ensurance because it's on my deck. I think I'm going to deflate it a tiny bit when I put the cover on so it will fit easier. These are super easy solutions.

    Good review BUT, there is an elephant in this room on ALL inflatable Hot Tubs,....., COOL WEATHER USE. The air from the bubbles for these units is the air directly from the outside environment. I live in South Carolina so I got months of use from my two units but both had the same issue ($600-$700 units!) from online seller. So, if you have the water at the desirable 104F, and your air temps are under 80-85, I found that your heater will struggle and fail to keep that water at 104F, 60F and below, you will want a sweater on! LOL!!!! "Regular" Hot Tubs HEAT the air to keep the water a consistent 104F in "any" Temperature in the winters, and this is what NONE of the companies ever tell the customer, you will not have that "hot tub" experience in weather where your daily temps will stay 60F or lower. So, keep that in mind IF you want a winter WATERLAND in areas of chilly to COLD Falls, Winters, and Springs. You will have cold air shooting into your hot water cooling the water and your electrical bill will not be as little in the cold months as it is in the hot ones. They are basically a summer pool but with a heater and bubble blaster (which is nothing but a tube ring with holes), there are no "jets" but honestly, both my inflatables were crazy great in the message department- that ring of holes REALLY does feel great, but not when the water is 65F in 40F weather! LOL!!!!.

      Hmm.. we’ve had ours in our garage in temperatures in the 30s, (probably 40s in the garage) and have not had any issues with the temperature staying at 104. We’ve done this with several models. With that said, I wouldn’t keep it directly outside in winter months as what you said will likely happen. So far, no issues with cold weather when kept in a semi insulated environment.

I bought two of those and they also sell a set of two steps where you can store stuff in the top step and I also bought two handrails and each have a little circle light magnetic that sticks in the handrails, I also put a screen over mine for shade and keep the bugs out, and I also bought a vinyl tent that pops open and fits perfectly over the hot tub

    Good morning from Las Vegas. Excellent review on this hot tub. We had an Intex round hot tub for 7 years it got a hole I found it patched it then I had another hole which I could not find it lasted seven years but we decided to sell it for cheap and get this awesome six people 170 jet.
    But I have a problem maybe you can help me… Are older Index was a breeze to fill up with air anytime. This one I see that you have to take off the big bubble tube to plug in the hose to fill it up. is there an easier way to do this…

    • @TubTalkReviews

      There’s not really easier way that I’m aware of. You could partially take it off, and have a separate pump (a cheap like air masters one) and use something like that to fill it up.

    Great video! Can you tell me the actual length and width of the spa? Intex claims it is 94” x 94” but I have seen another video where someone mentions that is the diagonal dimensions, which is very different and misleading.

      Hot tubs are measured like TV screens so the dimensions are measured diagonally that way.

    I like the idea of the insulated cover but it's really bulky and quite heavy. I can put it on and take it off but my wife and the kids would struggle with it. They did apparently sell that that same model with a different cover but have discontinued it. It's super frustrating because the hot tub even has the buckles to attach the smaller cover. I would like to use the smaller cover most of the time and only use the insulated cover when it's super cold. I have the slightly smaller 4 person and the cover I'm referring to is Intex PN 13107

    • @TubTalkReviews

      We don't normally look into replacement covers, we do also dislike the cover for the Intex PureSpa Greystone Deluxe (formerly PureSpa Plus) and have noticed it definitely needs some work. We went ahead and did some research, it seems that this cover may work best for the 4-person: amzn.to/3MhIkxt
      Definitely check it out to see if this would work for you and your model, it seems that it should fit the model based on the dimensions. It also is supposed to weigh under 5lbs so hopefully that is a better solution. It's an insulated cover too :)

    • @TofuInc

      @@TubTalkReviews Yeah that the inner cover that sets directly on the water. Ours came with that. It the exterior cover, it the same setup as the one it the video. The intex PN I listed in the comment it basically a rain cover that goes over the inflatable cover in place of the insulated cover. It uses the buckles that are on the hot tub. If you do an image search you will see what I'm talking about.

    • @TubTalkReviews

      We unfortunately do not have a video on that yet. We will keep this in mind for future videos! Make sure to follow the instructions when adding the pool salt and keeping the sanitizer on as needed and test ph levels with the strips included before getting in. You shouldn't have to change out the water for a couple months and everything should be stable. If the water gets murky and doesn't clear up with the sanitizer being on for a while, you will need to drain the tub. We hope this answered your questions!

The foam inside has balled up in the center. From what I’ve read it must have got wet inside. Everything I read says to take out the foam and dry it. That would mean cutting the cover. I’m going to see if INTEX will cover it under the warranty. Any other suggestions?

    I figured out the filter information ... it is an Intex cartridge filter 11692 ... but I would still like to know if during the sanitization process if there would be a sound similar to a more expensive regular spa makes or it is a quiet process... as well as how long the sanitization process takes... and is there actual water circulating during the sanitization process?

    Do you have any advice in regards to putting this inside? I’ve been told that it’s not a good idea due to the weight and moisture but many reputable hot tub websites say that it can be done on the first floor with an exhaust fan and dehumidifier to draw out the moisture. This being the saltwater model I would think it wouldn’t have the typically strong chlorine smell either. Wondering what your take on this is

    • @TubTalkReviews

      We haven't really put any of our tubs inside because of splash radius, flooding risk, etc. and we don't fully recommend it, however, it's not impossible.
      An insulation/absorption mat, fans, and dehumidifiers to draw out the moisture is the best way to go. Make sure wherever you put it, you have space for any splashing water and a way to drain and fill the tub without flooding the room.
      With the Intex PureSpa Greystone Deluxe (formerly PureSpa Plus), the salt converts to chlorine. It smells less chemically but will still have a faint chlorine smell.

    • @TubTalkReviews

      Hi there, this sounds like an odd situation. We did have the button make noise when pressed. To test if your sanitizer is actually working, you should be able to test the water about once a week minimum with included test strips to see if your water is staying sanitized. Also, if the water looks murky and continues to stay murky, that could be a good indication that the sanitization is not working.
      However, some of the different styles of Intex PureSpa Plus hot tubs do not have a sanitizer button on the panel and should be turning on while the tub is on. You should be able to test the water with the same process. We hope your sanitization is working and the button is just acting up!

      If it’s a new hot tub, my first suggestion to contact the manufacturer, if there’s something wrong with the pieces and parts, it’s their responsibility to take care of it, assuming it’s within the warranty period. Make sure that you change the filter, the filters clean, and everything is screwed on correctly.
      If none of that works, last case scenario check out this video : th-cam.com/video/itXsrIgqxjM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gMI2XQk5YUiolI8S

      @@TubTalkReviews I got the E90 but you you read the manual it's water the valves are leaking. They have to be put on perfectly straight, then I reset the it by unplugging it and it reset and is now working perfect.

    How much salt should you put in this hot tube???? The internet is basically useless and the instructions don't say it either

    • @TubTalkReviews

      Start with 5 cups and check the levels after a few hours with test strips. Add another cup until the levels are just right-- no more than 10 cups of salt. After you've got the levels right, you shouldn't need to add more than 1 cup each time you sanitize the tub.
      Here's a link to salt you can use for your tub: amzn.to/3RtwnrA

    The air keeps coming back out.

      It shouldn’t be doing that, not to the point that it deflates. You must have a leak somewhere. Your best bet would be to contact Intex and have them send you a new one under the warranty. Sucks that’s happening!

    After you inflat the hot tub the air just keeps coming out.

    • @TubTalkReviews
      @TubTalkReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      The hot tub is designed to only let so much air in, and it will let air out if it is "overinflated". Does it keep letting the air out until it's flat? Or just a bit?
