Uncle Klunk was a real animatronic but was only part of the show for a very short period of time before being discarded. I don’t remember why but I think he just didn’t sit well with audiences at the time

I thought an absolute fanatic somehow got their hands on an original and programmed the mouth and hand movements. Only now that the illusion has been shattered I am starting to notice the subtle cues like the hands being missing, likely because of the difficulty to animate them accurately, and how fast the movements are. Quite convincing all the same.

Everything about this is deeply unsettling. The character design the movement, the lighting, the fact that its hands are missing along with the choice of song… it all just coalesces into a big gumbo of nope. Honestly, I think the only thing that could make this more uncomfortable is if the thing was also submerged in water. Submechanophobia and whatnot
