The leader of that batallion was named Uznagg. Uznag was accually one of the more mindful and aware uruk hai so he led his batallion to a forest near edoras. When they were found, they were offered a deal they couldn't decline: they would get a settlement near edoras an helms deep, but they would have to become an honorary ally of the peoples of middle earth. Of course, Uznagg accepted. Uznagg knew how to build the machinery isengard used so he did just that. He payed and sent some of his own soldiers to gondor when they needed help. The peoples were so impressed that they gave him the fortress of isengard to build a new, better isengard (and also make more uruk hai). When Uznagg heard of the goblin attacks he sent a medium sized army to help the towns of middle-earth led by one of his generals Razz. OMG yes the king of third age total war has returned. Bro you third age total war videos was my childhood, every time you upload a video i would have grab my chips and sprite and watch you videos till the end. Thank you Apollo for making awesome videos for us to watch.
New scenario: With the capture of Edoras and the goblins army success, rumors start to spread among the creatures of middle earth that a new war has begun in the North... A hidden city of orcs in the mountains of Mordor that had served sauron in the war of the ring hear these rumors, and their leader, Khazkai the great, decides that with this new distraction for the armies of the free people of middle earth, that they would have a chance to retake Mordor and start a new empire, and take control of middle earth. With the Gondor garrison of Mordor depleted with their armies shifted to the war of the goblins, KhazKai decides to make a move and marches on Cirith Ungol and Minas Morgul... The leader of the Mordor garrison receives words from the outposts across the land of Mordor that a huge orc army was marching their way. He decides that even with all his troops, he would not be able to defeat the orc army in a head in battle. So, he sets up an ambush in the narrow pass of cirith ungol, waiting for the inevitable orc army...
Thanks for the amazing video, I think it would be cool if in the next episode the men of rhudaur came to help the Goblins or if the men of the east started attacking Gondor and Dol Amroth.
Hey I have an idea for this story: The force that Rohan send in the previous video comes back to retake Edoras, together with Gondor. The leader of that Rohan force is an young man, filled with pride over his victory in the Gondorian village. He knows what's ahead of him and is kinda afraid, his father told him about the War Of The Ring and he expects to see Minas Tirith-sized forces and armies. He wants to retake Edoras, but thinks he's going to lose. He prepares himself to die in battle, with the thought that he will not die needlessy, but for the greater good of Middle Earth. His father ( the last Red Marshal) was killed in this battle, so he also has an reason to hate the Orcs. Just some fun backstory, hope you do something with it, Apollo. Love your videos!
Hey 'pollo this misty mountain series is totally epic i think the red marshall deserves his life of a soldier episode, always loved that short series 'member?
Hey Apollo! love your videos man. Going forward could you write the battle scenario in the description again, I love the lore but being deaf my only option is reading it haha. I'd really appreciate it my friend.
An idea for the next scenario, Word spreads quickly to gondorian forces that the great city of edoras has fallen to the goblin forces, they quickly sally out a brave force of elite soldiers to take back the settlement. But what they don’t know is that goblin reinforcements are already on their way to fill the vacant ranks of the battle weakened troops that now hold the city. It’s now a race between the gondorian forces and the goblin reinforcements, will the men be able to take back edoras before the much needed goblin troops arrive?
Not going to lie. The first battle was amazing. The siege of a Gondor Village... not so much. :P But this, this was EPIC! Love love love it! In a lost battle, amidst the fall of a city, a legend was born...
After this you should do the second battle of Edoras where gondor elves dwarfs and rohan try to take Edoras back from some very elite goblin/orc armies. Just a Thought
When the lands burn and the crops wither Enemies come to Edoras and gather The Marshall stands with his fellows Forth Eorlingas! He bellows. Beset on all sides, the right flank falls. His comrades die to mighty foes He alone has survived, as the right flank falls. The captain came, his steed lathered. You do not stand alone! He cried Beaten and battered. Fighting grew, up on the hill His captain rode to kill Covered in blood, his axe notched His arms shook, his legs spent The Marshall followed, To the fighting, up on the hill His foes were many, his captain gone Others were there, but soon were none He cleaved and he hacked He yelled and he spat Many he slew, up on the hill Edoras shall not fall as breath he drew. His courage was great but doom was near Through the back, pierced by spear. With his brothers he fell, up on the hill. His song sung by light of fire For the glory of Rohan, we invoke his name The Marshall comes, by light of fire To defend Edoras, we invoke his name So let us go, to Edoras, we reclaim.
Been such a long time since you did this timeline battles thing that happens supposedly after the War of the Ring. I have been waiting for it! Great job!
I'm a mordor/orc/goblin fan boi through and through, but GOD DAMN!!! that Red Marshal scene was potent. I think the fact that they lost made it more touching.
The Red Marshall was %100 one of the Rohirrim that fought at the Battle of Pelennor Fields. As he charged headlong to his death, the last thing he heard was Theoden shouting "DEATH!!!!" So he charged ready to meet his departed king on the other side of the veil.
This battle is beyond epic! I love these third age battles and how you introduce them. Any chance we can see "The siege of Cair Andros" as it was a critical moment in the war of the ring?
i think a really cool scenario to follow this up would be if Rohan and Gondor were like "oh damn, this goblin problem is getting a bit out of hand :O" and called in some professionals, aka the Dwarves. so like a coalition force of men and dwarves marching to recapture Edoras. especially since the Dwarves eventually set up a colony in the caves at Helms Deep, this could be like an additional precursor for that.
No one does dialogue like Appalo! That's the only reason the orcs came to Ederas, to hear epic tales of epicness. But the Rohan weren't in the mood to share epic storytime. So they fired those firey balls of justice over the walls. The orcs weren't having any of it. We are here and we're gonna hear Apollos' epic stories. And today my friends! Today was a good day to be an orc.
In the next battle, the commander to retake Edoras is the Red Marshall’s brother and has heard the brave stand of his brother, but is unsure on how to live up to his name and commands his army in revenge for his brother
Ok, Red Marshall was cool, but the cav were charge that hit just before made that scene. First that lone rider that rescued him in the duel, then the madlads who charged in one last time at 35:40 to clear a path for him. If only there was a general there to kill, it would've been perfect!
From Edoras to Minas Tirith is no more than a 2 and a half day's ride, Aoemir and Perinnor knew that, but what they had not foreseen was a bustling city of the great horse people brought down to the brink of extinction in what would have been one of the bloodiest battles fought on middle earth since the days of the war of the ring. As they rode onto the city for a single day, they encountered a larger than possible host gathering on the city's outskirts. Thousands and thousands of ranks and file of Orcs and goblins with their thunderous drums of which the two spearmen had been accustomed to by now, yet it still instilled fear and despair in their hearts as they remembered the thousands lost on that blasted piece of rock they called Argerg. No, they had already passed a village which was probably under immanent threat, and possibly burnt down by now, they weren't going to try to pass another chance again. This time, they will fight. Captain Eored of the Rohan forces had taken notice of the bearers of the white tree mark in their humble stead, and had gladly welcomed the duo into the Rohan Ranks. "Can you men hold a sword?" Eored asked "We are spearmen sire, 22nd Cohort" Aoemir replied with pride for both him and Perin Eored, however had seen the small yet slightly evident trace of a tear in the eyes of the two men and had correctly assumed they were from the doomed forces not a week ago. Knowing this now he began to show some sympathy "Ah, well I welcome you into our ranks with the most open arms, I'll send a messenger to your unit's quarters to inform them if the two of you, in the coming battle, have....." Eored trailed off, unable to say the words which he knew many will be facing by the end of today. "We understand sire, and we will be face it accordingly." The two put on the armour of the horse Rohirrim which was, by all means, even lighter than their own Gondorian ones. This seemed to be giving them even more flexibility during the fighting. However the two did not take the Rohirrim shields with them into the west mark spear formation and instead, retained there own Gondorian shields much the dismay of the dismounted spearmen who eyed them with curiosity. As the placed themselves on the left flank of the city as well as the formation, it was clear to them how tough of a fight it was going to be. For miles all they could see with the naked eye were rows and rows and rows of orcs. Much less, the spearmen were primarily mounted soldiers who just didn't have enough horses so they were choosing to fight on foot. The formations they would fight in were comparatively much looser and less organized compared to the Gondorian Spears counterparts who were extremely tight and rigid in their close order approach and drilled for years and Perin knew it, and by the look on Aoemir's face, it seemed he knew it too. They were afraid, very afraid. However, as the lines clashed and steel met flesh and bone, the two realized how much they were wrong. They spearmen had their own tactic, they would push through a thinner position of the enemy by using their spears in quick lighting fast stabs, dropping the body and then continue into that position shoving the other orcs out of the way and then forming smaller pockets of circles in the center with 4 to 5 men teams, pushing lightning quick stabs, filling and forming and continue stabbing. The method was working effectively as lines and lines of orcs crashed on the spears and died on it over and over and over. The other formations, Perin and Aoemir could see, were fighting in much more conventional manners, much closer to the rank and file of their own Gondorian soldiers. They fought for hours, Perin adopted the lightning fast stab methods, but he stuck with Aoemir. The two would watch their own angles on the left and right effectively with 3 other Rohirrim men in between them. An orc would come in full swing every now and then, either with a shield, a long crude sword or an axe, but Perin would dispatch him rather effectively with quick stabs in the armpit and neck. He got quiet good at it by the end of the day. but the cumbersome Gondorian shield was taking its toll, and him and Aoemir were getting exhausted by the second. Thousands had died by then and they were aware that the right flank had completely fallen. Their unit was down to 13 men from the origin 200 and Eored had lost most of his men. They were alone in the field of dead, the thirteen stood triumphant. However, Eored personally came to ask the assistance of the spearmen in the city, as exhausted they were they started running. They all started running. "NOT YOU TWO!" Eored screamed "what? why?" Perin asked dazed. "You are men of Gondor, you mustn't die fighting for us! believe me when I say this battle is lost. I need the two of you to carry this message back to the good people of Gondor, Edoras has fallen!" he whispered quietly into the ears of the two men. "Here, take my horse, she is the swiftest one Ive ever had, treat her well." Eored said as he got of his horse, blooded and battered just like the rest of them, drew his sword and personally led the spears back into the city, Perin swore he saw Eored give them a wink before charging away with the rest. As they rode away Perin couldn't help but think the fighting they had done was in vein, yet they had made the orc filth pay dearly, a second battle experience for Perin ever since his deployment a few months ago. He wouldn't have dreamed to ever see fighting on the frontlines. Now, he was a veteran of two of the bloodiest battles middle earth had ever seen since the war of the ring. He had seen men die in the thousands, he had seen orcs die many a thousand times more than that, he had lost count of the number of orcs he slew but it was probably a hundred or so by now. All within the timespan of a single week. He thought this was enough for a lifetime, coming closer to death's cold embrace and escaping it's jaws at every turn was a certain high he could only get on a battlefield, but his eagerness had now gone feint. All he wanted to do now, was go home and see his parents and his mates.
36:00 That was actually THE most heroic scene I’ve seen in all reforged battles.
the music playing at that moment was sad. but epic at the same time

The truth is the Red Marshall was only wounded, he survives the battle and goes on to wage a devastating guerilla campaign against the Orcs.
He faked death
I've got a new character for the Apollo's Cinematic Universe:

"NOT YOU TWO!" Eored screamed
"what? why?" Perin asked dazed.
