Big up deluded! Great to see him on here again and big up rants. Im a gooner and personally I think mikel is at the end of his cycle. If you look at the signings and financial decisions each window theres maybe only a 50% of those worked out. Our golden boot winning striker we actually paid to get half his wages to play for someone else. Weve had several goal keepers. Players like sambi, willian, viera aint worked out. Players like ESR, Nketiah, Nelson were given new deals despite not being trusted like that and having no meaningful place in the squad. Jesus and zinchenko despite improving us, weve out grown them so quickly that one might say wed have been better off with young players whos mistakes could have contributed to their growth as opposed to reflecting badly on their experience. I think the club (somewhat rightly) pulled their backing because the track record of signings is questionable. But also they arent interested in success otherwise back when we were 3 games away from winning the league they would have said "your new deal is contingent on winning the league" because signing a new deal after not being backed this summer doesnt make sense for anyone
Arteta has over-selected. Xaca could have stayed. Timber is a right central defender but now plays as a wingbac kMartinelli is a blind horse. But the biggest problem is not having a good striker. Furthermore, the opponents do understand how to fight Arsenal.
ARTETA HAS AND STILL WANTS A SUPERSTAR STRIKER BUT HE HAS NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET HIS FIRST CHOICE WHEN HE WANTED THEM DUE TO THE CLUBS TRANSFER MARKET STRATEGY/HABITS. TBH ARTETA HAS RARELY GOTTEN HIS FIRST CHOICE UNLESS IT WAS A SURPRISE OPPORTUNITY MARKET WISE. HE WANTED ISAK, VLAHOVIC, GYOKERES AND OSHIMEN IN THE LAST FEW YEARS BUT WE ARE EITHER OUT PRICED BY THE TRANSFER FEE OR THE WAGE DEMANDS OR JUST THE PROJECT NOT BEING APPEALING ENOUGH (and he’s probably going to settle with sesko like he had to with Jesus but that didn’t get over the line). AND THATS JUST THE STRIKERS ON THE WINGS HE WANTED NETO, WILLIAMS, RAPHINA, MUDRYK JUST TO NAME A FEW (he probably would have played better for arteta) BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR ALL OF US FANS THE CLUB CONTINUES TO NOT OPERATE LIKE THE MASSIVE CLUB ITS SUPPOSED TO BE.
@ Wage demands and transfer demands, I mean why is he not at Chelsea ? AAAND clearly his contract situation with Napoli is making life difficult for him and his negotiating team. (Didn’t he even change his agency this summer? Correct me if I’m wrong). Napoli isn’t the easier club to deal with
@@namelesscartel Galatasaray are only paying 95k a week of his wages. Truth is, no manager can be in a job for 5 seasons, spend 800m but then complain about not getting to sign who you want. Regardless, it’s a mismanagement of money
@ if you say so I guess. But remember the Chelsea deal didn’t materialise essentially at the last minute and Napoli struck a deal to pay a portion of the wages with Gal. This isn’t football manager so striking deals in real life needs to make sense for all party’s involved. And tbh I don’t disagree that he’s spent a lot of money on players over the years but let’s be honest it was absolutely needed the squad needed a complete overhaul and it just happened to need it when the Market value of players is ridiculous, so it makes his spending seems crazy when just one of those players cost £105Ms just because he’s British. Context is very important. Think about it out of that £800M Rice 105M Havertz 65M White 50M Jesus 45M Zinchenko £35M Odegaard 30M That’s 330M already and it’s just 6 players. When Arteta inherited the team (in 11th place btw) most of us would have said he needs to buy a whole new first 11 (excluding Auba and Saka probably) so he was always going to have to spend big and take risks on signings to try to close the gap, which was already huge. And we all know the Arsenal Defence neeeded the open heart surgery and unfortunately its cost us a lot of money for that surgery alone. Mistakes are made by all clubs in the transfer market all the time but when Arsenal make mistakes the club doesn’t react the way other big clubs do they take the L and take years to recover from it. And don’t get me wrong this is a results based business and I am not opposed to moving on from Arteta but the clubs next moves have to make sense. I want the best for Arsenal so I don’t care who the manager is as long as he wins but we shouldn’t revise history Arteta has done a good job taking us this far.
@ I hear you. I’m not like Lee Gunner or them lot who have agendas against Arteta. I want him to do well at this club but if we’re being honest, it’s clear that this is his first job in management when you look back at it. Even those 6 players you mentioned, 2 seasons later and two of those players are unplayable (Zinchenko and Jesus), Havertz hasn’t improved us for the price tag and Rice still needs his handheld in the midfield. Only White and Odegaard have been good signings for good value imo. My biggest gripe with Arteta is how Arsenal fans make it out like we owe him one. He’s not a club legend, never was. He wasn’t a legendary player for any club and we gave him his first managerial gig. We shouldn’t be this hesitant to place actual standards on him for this fact alone, nevermind the amount of money we spent on him. Atp I’m tired of the excuses, he’s not bigger than the club. There are managers out there on his level or better, but we’re making it out as if nobody could do a better job than him and that’s ridiculous.
Yes my man's finally back on the channel! Badboy guest 💪🏾
Great to have gooner back🔥, one thing of him, at least stand on his ground and not just agree with everything Rants says 🫡
