  • Teacher burnout is a super common experience in education. It’s real, and if you don’t take time to address it, it can lead to bigger challenges.

    It’s very simple: would you want to be the football coach if you were required to play everyone, had a team with 300 players, and had to continually alternate strings of players to get everyone in, just because their parents thought that their kids should play football? Of course not. And who, under such conditions, would they be able to get to coach? Teaching public school academic subjects is equally ridiculous. School curriculums need to be much more variegated and tailor made to individual requirements. One size fits all will never work. But while they’re still figuring it out everyone should just quit. Most of the kids aren’t going to learn anything anyway. Those few who do can do their own reading, as indeed they always have. Mass education is really nothing but babysitting.

      @@TeacherTransition Hey! Sure I’m a teacher and TH-camr. I’m in the classroom, yes! How about you? Im not burned out at all, but I’ve totally seen it from some during my career. It can be tough sometimes! I actually just made a video on this too. Good topic and so important to think about for sure!
