      Same, hope Nike continues to evolve on this design and makes the future generations of this shoe fit for the best of both worlds, both trail and road.

    A lot of Australian trail races are a mix of fire trail, single track and occasional road. Doesn’t usually get overly technical. If they’re a speedier/even marginally grippier version of the 36 then they should be perfect.

      😂 Yeah depends where you are geographically Far North Queenslands brutal!

    • @randomknowitall
      @randomknowitall ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@morganflockhart942 I live pretty much on the UTA course and my preference for fire trails/“gentle” single track up here is actually the streakfly. So long as it’s not steep, rocky or wet.
      Not sure why Nike couldn’t slim these down to a more race like weight. I’ve still ordered a pair though so 🤷‍♂️

    • @morganflockhart942
      @morganflockhart942 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@randomknowitall Nice I nearly bought the streakfly imagine them with 3mm Vibram I’m in Cairns a lot of our trails are technical roots & rocks rainforest etc but I’ve still ordered them 😂 might run road to trail in them ( mellow trails) or bring them down to UTA would love to do the 21 or 50🤔

      @randomknowitall ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@morganflockhart942 mine arrived. Have to say, super comfortable walking around. Feel like the invincible. I’d say they’re heavier because they have a pretty wide somewhat Hoka-ish footprint. So that’s a lot of foam underfoot. And despite having a pretty wide toe box they don’t feel loose at the front like the Peg Trail 4 GTX did. I found with those my foot would be slipping around a bit after a while.
      Lug depth looks pretty underwhelming but if they’re sticky enough it won’t matter unless it gets wet.
      Was tempted to do a track session in them but I’ll give them a test on the trails later this week.

    Did 100k ultra yesterday with this, so
    Prose; wide toe box, Vibram grip, zoom X rubber.
    Cons; plate to stiff, shit heel lock, lacers system is either to tight or to loose No good lock, and white! What are they thinking making a trail shoe White!?

    I'll stick to the Endorphin Edge given price point, better lugs, and like over an ounce lighter.
    I don't get the point of it if it's like only good for rail trail racing but it's over 10oz for a 9. I'd just wear a road shoe for something like that and the Endorphin Edge seems better lugs and way lighter for real trails but still has a high stack of super foam and plate.

    Really like the look of the shoe but it would not work on the trails I run on. The studs would need to be 4.5/5mm and it’s heavy for a race day shoe. It’s a shame I was looking forward to trying this one out.

    Im returning the Ultrafly's - I tried them out on a short 10k trail but have decided that i can't justify the cost versus the versatility of the shoe plus, they're way too heavy - going to purchase Edge, UK Winters can get pretty muddy rendering this shoe next to useless on the trails. Shame as they look nice and they're very comfortable. They'd make really comfy outdoor slippers though :)

    Thanks for the review , running shoe junkies will lap this shoe up. However I have to say running a 7 hours 50K or longer off roads no thanks. We can get the brilliant NNormal Tomir for £140 (with a recycling / re sole option) or the dependable speedgoat 5 also £100 less. (both with Vibram outsoles). Road shoe with small lugs. It is a shoe for the few individuals who can manage sub 9 minute miles over 50-100 miles Imo. I deffo will never be one of them.
