He’s mainly supposed to be based on Bluto from Popeye, whom Donkey Kong was originally created to be a standin for (the OG Donkey Kong arcade game was originally meant to be a Popeye game, but plans were changed when Nintendo couldn’t get the rights)

Useful tips to never fail to fake pngs: drag image around and see if it transparent
You can also filter by transparent in the image search by clicking Tools -> Colours
Real
if you go to tools and color in google images you can see transparent (i learned this from i go by lots of names)
There is actually a setting on google that lets you find only real PNGs: Under the right side of the search bar there's a 'Tools' button click it and some more options appear, click colour then transparent.
