Well, now you made me decide to re-watch this show. I'm pretty sure that the mom and dad were both in the play. Shannon and Gerald were my favourite characters. I still have a $2 bill in my wallet.
I have never heard about this show before. Seems like fun. And wow Simu Liu pre Mcu living out his best life. lol. And yea like you guys ive seen that one actor first on the Mandalorian and then this year on netflix Avatar as Iroh. He did good in those roles and it'll be intereting to see him here if i ever get the chance.
Glad to be able to share some more Canadian shows for people to check out! Paul's role on Kim's is truly great, it's been nice seeing him appear in more shows since then
A show i recommend was one that i saw occasionally on TV on ABC ME was Find Me in Paris from like 2021 or 2022, at first i didn't think of it as much because by then i've seen Dance Academy which was a hugely popular tv series (14 years since that one came out + a movie), but i eventually watched the former & it was pretty good, mostly. How to describe it without spoiling too much of it? It's a fish out of water story with ballet dancing, hip hop & the main aspect which is time travel. In every EP on the opening credits is narration by the main character Lena Grisky who goes to the best ballet school in the world, she has a secret being that she's a time traveler from 1905 (and a Russian Princess) & her boyfriend Henri is doing everything he can to get her back home & thus a lot of lore happens with Lena, love triangles, likable characters stories that focus on each of them, rivalry the works. It was successful & popular that it greenlit a successor series called Spellbound made by the same production team & 2 creators who made FMIP, which is also set in the same location as in FMIP, ballet dancing, hip hop except the main aspect is magic instead of time travel with also the main character Cece Parker Jones learns that she's a witch known as a Wizen & has to confront the Mystics which are the nemesis of Wizens, so she has a double life with magic & dancing. The only problem is most of Cottonwood Media (aka the production)'s works has never released to Australia, except FMIP. Find Me in Paris in Canada is on Gem, Hulu in the US, ABC iview, Prime Video & Stan in Australia which the latter is how I watched the show streaming.
@@pineappleandlemon There's also A Kind of Spark as well which is one of the shows i can call autism representation done right (aside from the Heartbreak High reboot) and it based on a book & the headwriter is actually the author of the book. Someone on YT has uploaded all of S1 & 2 which is how i watched S2 because it is not available in my country, ABC iview just repeats S1 and yes it is on Gem as well.

Glad you're going to watch it again! Yep you're correct, the actors are the same for both Appa and Umma for the stage and show
