I gotta say, these modern CAF trains look splendid. Extremely good. Especially compared to the old rolling stock that has been working the North the last decades. Welcome to the modern times, Northern Railways.
LNER now do weekday Middlesbrough services stopping at Thornaby and York and Vice versa. The West Coast Mainline has more spurs than the East Coast Mainline which is why Avanti West Coast trains also go to Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Holyhead, Blackpool and Liverpool. Whereas the East Coast Mainline spurs have LNER trains going to Lincoln, Skipton, Harrogate, Sunderland and now Middlesbrough. Add to that future LNER services to Galashiels and Tweedbank. The West Coast Mainline has a through line allowing trains to bypass London Termini and pass through Clapham Junction for the South Coast. The East Coast Mainline has the canal tunnels linking it with Thameslink.
Always nice to see fully loaded intermodal trains! Talk about more especially the last one being very long indeed, that was certainly super heavy! ⚠️ I am interested as to what's inside the containers! It's too bad that we will never know though! The originally Freightliner operated Daventry runs were taken over by DRS, hence there being more 88's on the WCML. At least DB Cargo UK do operate to and from Daventry with the 90's as well as the 66's, of which DRS operate some to and from Daventry. Too bad the DB Cargo freight train didn't have the 90's on it but to be fair some trains do have to use non-electrified routes! If only it was from Daventry-Mossend instead! I'll take a shed any day of the week though mind whichever company it is from!
Another video!? You've really kept me on my toes sir! Another excellent video it must be said even without the 221 Super Voyagers and some of those trains were certainly going like the absolute clappers there! Apparently you didn't put the next film in the description box below! I'll certainly look out for it though and more especially considering the fact that you've uploaded two films in two days, which I didn't expect! As to which company owned a majority of the containers hauled by the 88, I think Russell had that one that's for sure! Talk about significant, you could say that it's a unanimous win for Russell! Oh and yes the weather certainly must have been pants up there! 🌧😂
Greetings Tornado922. I love your videos could you please film some trains at Warrington Central and Newton-le-Willows please. Take care stay safe. Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year all the best for 2022!
I haven't tuned into them that much but the Transport Fever 2 and Train Simulator gameplay videos I have seen some of before and I assume you must have stopped doing them for some reason as all I have taken note of is the Trains At videos! I don't mind the Trains At videos though to be fair!
@@Tornado922 Well I'll keep an eye out for the gaming side of things and see if it strikes my fancy! The 321 suggestions as seen in the comments on the other video from Chelmsford I think could be possible on Train Simulator in the quick drive mode I think it is! 😂
Great video and lovely British weather as well
Wow! Space Age looking train, I thought I was seeing the Monorail at Disney World ! 😊

They are stunning looking units.

The railways are getting rejuvenated I think
just north of this station before Lancaster, is the half way point between London and Glasgow.
Nice video great camera work as usual as always keep it up take care
There’s 4 trains per hour to Blackpool and 5 in some including the 2 hourly avanti ones
Suffice to say that Blackpool gets well covered
Good video at Preston I really do need to visit there again not been in ages
Thanks very much, this is always a great station to come to
I was there yesterday for the northern belle!
Nice!

Lovely video again excellent three tone by the freight train reminds me of the freight tones you got at Woking
Thanks very much, Yes I do very much remember that one!
Great railway video again Tornado922
Thanks very much :)
7:37- great horn! Why don’t they use the up/down passing lines for freight?
I haven't got the faintest idea!
What is that majestic building on the southern end of the station?!

I had a large backlog of films that I had to get uploaded before Christmas haha, this is why you're suddenly getting a lot of films coming out haha
I'll take a lot of films regardless lol! 😂
Also to be fair, I had a large backlog of films, mostly bus related, to get uploaded, so you weren't the only one falling behind lol! 😂
What do you need to start train spotting
Blackpool North is certainly popular, but so is Manchester Airport.
Very much so!
