🥵We got our butts kicked by International Dressage rider @jezz_palmer today🤣 Jezz trains my trainer; Georgie. It was fantastic to have another set of professional eyes on Voss and I today to help us get that one step closer to Olympic selection (Jokes🤣) In all seriousness, a brilliant training session - just what we needed ahead of the Inter-Regionals next week💪🏼 A big thank you to @georgiedaydressage and @mandydaydressage for organising and running the clinic at your beautiful arena. I hope you enjoy and please don't forget to subscribe x
@RidingwithCharlotte completely understand a trainer not wanting their voice but perhaps you could have done a bit of a voice over to explain what you were working on and what the trainer was asking you to do
Great video! Regarding the hard ground in summer- could you set up some sort of watering system? I know it’s just another cost but maybe worth a try? OR I think there’s machines which basically stab the ground and create air pockets underneath the soil. Msybe something to look into xx
It has the sun on it the entire time with no shade so the second water goes onto it, it will just dry back up again🥲 thankfully 70% of the time, the ground is perfect, hot summers are definitely challenging, even for people with arena’s. If they don’t get watered, the sand gets deep and it’s not good for the horses legs. Thankfully my trainer’s arena is amazing all year round, very lucky☺️x
That was a lovely lesson for you and Vossi, I bet he was impressed with you both considering that you have only been doing competitive dressage for such a short time . I thought you both did very well. Your fan Jane from America❤️🧑🏻🦰❤️
Hi Charlotte, have you ever thought about using a Physio ball for balance and seat and also gaining softness in your elbows so you give a little as well they're very rigid. I love your journey. I've watched you from jumping up to now. Vossi is such a sweetheart. He's doing everything you ask.
Great idea! I used to own one but after a couple of weeks it ended up taking up all the space in my shed 🤣🙈 but might need to reinvest and stick with the exercises because I totally agree, I need to relax my legs and not grip but also just relax in general😅thanks so much! X
Dressage is so hard. Lol, it is easy to say, but getting the muscles, coordination, quick reactions and lightness isn't always easy. You and Vossie are doing so good! ❤
Have you considered top dressing your arena with sand which will help with it getting too hard in summer - pity we couldn’t hear what was going on in your lesson if you had an earpiece get whoever is filming stand up with the clinician so the commentary can be picked up - that way you can look back and remember what was said - the thing about clinics is if you come away wth one improvement it’s been a good lesson.

Looking great. Would have been nice to hear what the trainer was saying though, then we could understand what you were working on.
I respected my trainer’s wishes to remove his voice 😁

Wow you have come so far with your riding and your dressage star Vossi.

I definitely felt like I came away with multiple tips to be a better rider! Loved it😁x
