That is familiar territory to me and I know where that property is. It was lived in around 2010 so it has fallen quickly into a fairly poor condition in the ensuing years. The neighbours are across the lane so it was not perhaps the wisest move to put the bedroom light on! Were you inspired to use the title 'Journey across the South UK' by John Hillaby's outings? He documented his walks in his 'Journey' books. Your journey however was just two miles from the station, whereas John started in Cornwall and walked all the way to John O'Groats (in 1966).
Hi thats interesting 2010 yeah seems about right I was very surprised the electricity working and I know I did think about having that light on but didn't keep it on that long as was cautious, I wasn't inspired by that book you said but it sounds a very interesting read I've been all over Cornwall exploring this was just a little test for the weather and camping also practice for me with hiking etc 👍
