I love the Bleak House adaptation with Gillian Anderson. She was an amazing Lady Deadlock. The 1999 series of Wives and Daughters, as well as the Cranford sketches from 2007(?) are such fun (but I love the books more😅) I need to take quiz also to find out who I resemble!😂 I watched Bleak House prior to reading and I think it helped immensely! Loved the son interactions 😂😊
I took the online quiz and got Jane Eyre as well. 😊 My memory is not as great anymore and I don’t think I could pick a character either. BTW I love your floral shirt. This was a fun video and how cool you started so young with poetry. My first poetry as a kid was a Childcraft book and I remember a lot of the poems. I remember liking the rhythm and I loved reading them out loud…I was a very musical child though. Miss those days!
Yes, the rhythm of poetry has always appealed to me, which is probably why I used to strongly dislike modern poetry with its lack of distinct rhythm and meter. And why I love Poe, who is very strongly rhythmical.
How lovely that your Victorian literature journey started with poetry. Jane Eyre is a first real Victorian novel for so many people. What an impact that book has had. If you watch Hannah of Hannah's Books version of this tag you will see that half her answers are Jane Eyre too. I agree a new version of Tenant is overdue. That scene from Bleak House is quite something.
Wow, I totally replied to this the other day, but YT is telling me otherwise. Apologies! Anyway, I will have to check out Hannah's video - she sounds like another kindred spirit! And yes, that scene from Bleak House will stick with you... .!

I will be curious what the quiz says for you. :) Yes, my son was cracking me up with his humming, etc. LOL
