Huge relief to hear somebody point out plainly that Cura 5.3 has problems! I was ready to throw my Q5 in the trash after I went from Cura 4.10 to 5.3. Thanks!
I was literally thinking it was my fault that I got more and more problems. It kinda reminded me to not change a running system. So no updates for me, if nothing new and worthy is included (like the tree supports in Prusa Slicer).
Cura always tells you to update "for better printing experience". It's quite annoying.

This is the first mod I did with my SR as well. 5015's and klipper but kept the bowden. I highly recommend printing a roller filament stand that uses bearings as your next mod.

@@leomadraza8013 stock settings but I converted to direct drive so my retraction is 1mm and 40mm/s

oh good, it fits nicely on a LACK table. That's exactly what I planned to do with it. (Gets here tomorrow)
CHC pro fits fine without modding the effector. Running klipper, and 0.9 degree steppers, you can a very accurate, and fast printer (can can print so fast that i still outrun my chc pro + cht clone)
When the filament goes out the rest will fall down without a hose
yes a reverse bowden tube can be added

Did you have any skipping with petg or other fikament? What is the voltage for the bmg motor? İs it a volcano block or also upgraded?
24v for everything, hotend is stock. I upgraded to a lgx lite direct drive ectruder. I only printer pla with it

@mohankuru7760 I don't recall, I sold the printer. I want to say 0.4 but I usually increase if needed as long as the motor stays cool

the limit is layer cooling on the SR, the sonic pad will not limit speed
Can you share your speeds with your double 5015 fans? I'm having trouble running 2 of them because its too much cooling
I was only printing PLA, don't recall but I think around 40 percent, I print at 220 temp
What all hotends would work for a flsun sr?
as far as I now just the volcano style hot end that they have, you might find more options if you mod it with something from printables. search SR effector
Speaking of the CHCs. I can't find any videos about them besides from TL. Looking at the ecosystem, it seems like you can put together a nice hotend.
I have the chc pro on my SR. It's pretty nice.
I use the TL CHC hotends on my printers great value, but now I found I can get Bambu Labs all metal complete hotends for 30 bucks Canadian so that will be my go to

What speeds do you get on your super racer? I have a QQS pro and converted it to DD. Haven’t tuned it for speed since I have clogging issues with my knock of V6.
I used the stock SR hotend and was able to printed over 100mm/s I never ran input shaper or anything.
some people with heavy mods can print 500+ mm/s with the SR, keep an eye in super racer groups, there will be a guide when those results will be replicated on many printers, for a hassle free upgrade you can buy the v400 effector and use that at 3/400
How did you get the Purge Line? After the Upgrade to Klipper, My Flsun SR does not make the Purge Line with the same Cura 5.5 Profile.
I just used the Cura config that was default on 5.2.2 I think, It has been a while

@ which version there seems to be many made, but unable to find the correct one in the US. The company is clearing these out this week for a terribly low price and I love watching these, but I’d like for it to be somewhat functional what I’m sure it will be on the box so it may be a waste of time but it does make sense to do the upgrade if you did. I’m just hunting something to tinker with till the K2 max gets here. I’ve got a spring free printer in my bedroom so I can watch them during the night if I’m having trouble sleeping one of these Delta machines can put me to sleep in 20 minutes..

Does the LGX lite work with the SR stepper motor, or do you have to get the whole bondtech assembly?

@@Davidjones-sk4vf either a BTT pad 7 or a BTT Pi is best. Both do the same thing. just one has a screen if you want that
