      Thanks so much Mells! It was my fourth attempt over the past 3 years at crochet braids, and I finally got it. Now if I could just figure out bantu knots lol!

    girl u r so smart. let me tell u y lol..
    u r the first person that i've seen that showed us how the net looks on your head up close and personal lol. omg so smart!!!
    so question ; how did u cover the band or does it automatically cover with the marley hair?

    • @MinimisshairCrystal
      @MinimisshairCrystal  9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I try to push the two Marley pieces over the band to cover it, which pretty much automatically covers it. You could try concealer, or pull out some of your hair to blend over it. I found it very unnoticeable from a far, and just decided not to worry about it lol. Thanks for watching!

  • @DestinationONGODnihtiW

    Awesome video!!! Thanks for taking the time to show us in a detailed but short video! Quick question did you comb out your marley hair before twisting on rods or you left it in the tiny sections? That's the part that confuses me because everyone else combs the hair out but it seems so time consuming. :-)

    • @MinimisshairCrystal
      @MinimisshairCrystal  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn't comb the marley hair out curling it around the perm rod, but after I installed the curls, I pulled them apart a little bit, and fluffed them out, to make them look fuller.

    • @MinimisshairCrystal
      @MinimisshairCrystal  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would rod a pack of hair, then install. Then repeat the process. I found it much easier to curl the hair first

    • @MinimisshairCrystal

      Chanel B. Hi Chanel, the hair still has the pattern, but did get a little bit looser after about 3 weeks, but you can recur it, and it's back to being new!

  • @avasd59
    @avasd59 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love how you only used 2 packs of hair. I've been wanting to do this but the volume of the crochet wigs I've seen was just too much, way too much hair. Do you start to crochet right at the bottom(nape) of your wig cap? Or do you start above the edge of the cap?

    • @MinimisshairCrystal
      @MinimisshairCrystal  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I start at the bottom, and work my way up to the top, to see the progress of the hair filling in, and covering up the next level. The key is to space out the back, don't worry about crocheting the hair right next to each other, because it's so big and fluffy, it's eventually fill out. I ended up cutting a lot of hair out because it was just so much, and I wanted it to be as natural as possible.

    How did you get your hair to remain long even after you curled it? Did you stretch the hair?

    • @MinimisshairCrystal
      @MinimisshairCrystal  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The longer the hair is, the more elongation your will get, due to it's weight. If you curl short hair, it's not going to have that weight stretch on it's on.

    @MizzzYasmin 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    What was the length of the hair? And did you cut it in half?

    • @MinimisshairCrystal
      @MinimisshairCrystal  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I did not cut the hair in half, the pack didn't state how long it was, it was your average length of any braiding hair you purchase. However, after installing, the hair was way to long/thick, so I did thin the hair out, and cut the hair till it was around shoulder length.

    @bluediamond2008 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I tried to do mine but I guess I pulled them thru too many loops bc it shrinked. And doesn't fit my head :/ what should I do

    • @MinimisshairCrystal
      @MinimisshairCrystal  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try measuring your dome head,then yours, and thickening it up with either news paper or duck tape to make it your size. This happened to me once when I was sewing a wig for a friend. It could be that you went through to many loops, or maybe you should try a different brand. I made another crochet wig for a friend, and bought a different brand net, and I didn't like how it turned out it was to thick.

    • @bluediamond2008

    • @gensai93
      @gensai93 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to make sure the mannequin head you're making it on is about the same size as yours. Use a tape measure to make measurements and compare. If it's smaller, you can bulk it up with duct tape until it's enough.
