It was a probably one of the wildest anime convention experiences I've had. It was also pretty funny when she launched into the second verse of the National anthem and a good chunk of the crowd became uncertain since they weren't as familiar with it🤣

idk, I watched it in theaters and yeah it was beautiful and the music was very good but the plot was kinda "wtf" for me. Had NTR vibes which I hated cause she was crushing on this one dude in real life but flirting around with the "beast" in VR and towards the end irl. I get she's trying to save the kid but it was just off to me. It doesn't help that I remember reading that the director pretty much confirmed that there was some romance going on between her and the dragon since it's based on "Beauty and the Beast." Personally I think it's rated about just right since pretty animation and music can't really make up for a mediocre if not frustrating plot.

Belle is a flawed movie that I absolutely adore. Despite its imperfections, it shines so very brightly, literally exemplifying one of the lessons the movie attempts to teach. Thank you for making this! It is so beautiful in every meaning of the word
I remember I suggested to watch this movie with a group based on it's trailer (and that it was the director of Summer Wars) and we usually joke and have fun when watching movies, but I remember all of us just sitting there quiet for the last 30 minutes of it's runtime just taking in the movie. Yeah it has some flaws, but god damn was that an experience I wouldn't want to be without
I watched it in theaters though I rarely visit the cinema these days. It really had its moments but overall it was quite average. But maybe that was also partly due to my high expectations since the film won prices over and over.
@@magnolia549 there's definitely a lot of comparisons to be made between SW and Belle (disclaimer: I really like both movies), but imo they're very different experiences. IMO Belle was a lot better as a theatre experience than it would've been on a monitor/TV, the visuals/atmosphere/music really were breathtaking but imo the story at its core wasn't anything incredible (basically digital Beauty and the Beast with Summer Wars-style twists and pacing)

I haven’t been keeping up with hololive that much in the past few months, but this was especially heartwarming, Baelz 😁. Was already pleasantly surprised by the stacked list of vocals in the mv, but to dedicate visuals to every single member of holopro? It really reminded me that, no matter what gen or branch they fell into, everyone in hololive has cemented a very special place as unique members of such a large and wonderful family. I remember reading in an interview that Bae hoped to produce a collaboration someday between jp, en, id, and even the stars, and I gotta say, as a fan of everything holo, I feel like Bae did a superb job in bringing that collab to life. I hope things don’t stop here though; hopefully, this is the start of plenty more ambitious collabs involving all branches of hololive and, in turn, a more collective and coalesced holopro. 😊
God, the part from 4:16 to 6:00 just sounds so ethereal. Not to mention the chorus of everyone else's voices joining in as if to say "Don't worry Bae, we've got your back". What a hauntingly beautiful performance from everyone involved, it nearly brought me to tears lol.

If I close my eyes, Bae's performance and the orchestration alone is absolutely epic, but then there is the MV on top of all that! The story it tells with such simple images, absolutely superb. At 3:49, I was literally yelling at the screen, "Bae, get up! Please, get back up! You're not alone!" And then 5:28 when HOPE DESCENDS and all your friends light up the darkness with their voices ... well, I'm not ashamed to say I cried like a baby. What an absolutely heart-wrenching and emotional journey.

I had high expectations, but even those were smashed. The beginning was lovely, but when the chorus of lights showed up I felt awestruck. Even the animation, which was great beforehand, really began to take off. The bright and vivid colors paired with your voice were truly a marvel. Only experienced this in less than a handful of songs, but the almost shouted echo of when Bae says "kirei" is such an incredibly cathartic and freeing sound. Always find myself replaying that part when I listen and I think about it when I'm not listening. One lyric makes it feel like an incredible weight was lifted off your shoulders.

This song is so addicting that I’ve been listening to it almost daily since its release. I decided to track down the original to get a bit more perspective, and after listening to both, I believe Bae’s cover is the definitive version of this song. 1. Bae’s vocals are much softer and more vulnerable at the start, while the original singer seems more confident and determined and only very briefly dips into that level of vulnerability at the start of the chorus. 2. The original brings in a pad of oboe and brass horns which I found distracting and kind of dissonant, while the cover sticks to softer strings and woodwinds (and maybe a church organ?!) with a timbre that compliments Bae’s voice. 3. In fact, I think the arrangement and mix for the cover is much more coherent and subtle overall. Cutting out most of the full orchestral band allowed more space for the vocals to breathe and to take center stage, while still blending seamlessly with the instrumentation. 4. And finally, whoever planned out the layered lead vocal harmonies really hit it out of the park, and they don’t even exist in the original! Particularly the high notes starting at around 4:46 add so much more to the already great chorus.
Both version are beautiful. The big difference is that the original was created for a movie, and a specific point in that movie, while this cover is in a vacuum. Both works best where they are, the original in the movie/ost of the movie, this one as a single or for casual listening

idk, I watched it in theaters and yeah it was beautiful and the music was very good but the plot was kinda "wtf" for me. Had NTR vibes which I hated cause she was crushing on this one dude in real life but flirting around with the "beast" in VR and towards the end irl. I get she's trying to save the kid but it was just off to me. It doesn't help that I remember reading that the director pretty much confirmed that there was some romance going on between her and the dragon since it's based on "Beauty and the Beast." Personally I think it's rated about just right since pretty animation and music can't really make up for a mediocre if not frustrating plot.
I remember going to the cinemas to watch it with me and my bois, my bois cried, and I cried inside, IT WAS AMAZING! glad she is introducing this film.

You're correct. People would label us all as "freaks", and sure, some are (looking at you people who consider VTubers they never met their wives or worse-), but the truth is far from it. Belle is a flawed movie that I absolutely adore. Despite its imperfections, it shines so very brightly, literally exemplifying one of the lessons the movie attempts to teach. Thank you for making this! It is so beautiful in every meaning of the word
I remember I suggested to watch this movie with a group based on it's trailer (and that it was the director of Summer Wars) and we usually joke and have fun when watching movies, but I remember all of us just sitting there quiet for the last 30 minutes of it's runtime just taking in the movie. Yeah it has some flaws, but god damn was that an experience I wouldn't want to be without

It really had its moments but overall it was quite average. But maybe that was also partly due to my high expectations since the film won prices over and over.

IMO Belle was a lot better as a theatre experience than it would've been on a monitor/TV, the visuals/atmosphere/music really were breathtaking but imo the story at its core wasn't anything incredible (basically digital Beauty and the Beast with Summer Wars-style twists and pacing)

I haven’t been keeping up with hololive that much in the past few months, but this was especially heartwarming, Baelz 😁. Was already pleasantly surprised by the stacked list of vocals in the mv, but to dedicate visuals to every single member of holopro? It really reminded me that, no matter what gen or branch they fell into, everyone in hololive has cemented a very special place as unique members of such a large and wonderful family. I remember reading in an interview that Bae hoped to produce a collaboration someday between jp, en, id, and even the stars, and I gotta say, as a fan of everything holo, I feel like Bae did a superb job in bringing that collab to life. I hope things don’t stop here though; hopefully, this is the start of plenty more ambitious collabs involving all branches of hololive and, in turn, a more collective and coalesced holopro. 😊

If I close my eyes, Bae's performance and the orchestration alone is absolutely epic, but then there is the MV on top of all that! The story it tells with such simple images, absolutely superb. At 3:49, I was literally yelling at the screen, "Bae, get up! Please, get back up! You're not alone!" And then 5:28 when HOPE DESCENDS and all your friends light up the darkness with their voices ... well, I'm not ashamed to say I cried like a baby. What an absolutely heart-wrenching and emotional journey.
Probly one of my favorite covers, in fact i think i listen to this more than the original now. 12/10 will watch bae sing to sleeping crytstal irys again.

Only experienced this in less than a handful of songs, but the almost shouted echo of when Bae says "kirei" is such an incredibly cathartic and freeing sound. Always find myself replaying that part when I listen and I think about it when I'm not listening. One lyric makes it feel like an incredible weight was lifted off your shoulders.

Belle was almost perfect. I'd say it almost reached Frozen-levels of quality. And that's saying something. When I really wanna be hopeful and feel good about myself and the world, I go watch Frozen. This song is so addicting that I’ve been listening to it almost daily since its release. I decided to track down the original to get a bit more perspective, and after listening to both, I believe Bae’s cover is the definitive version of this song.
1. Bae’s vocals are much softer and more vulnerable at the start, while the original singer seems more confident and determined and only very briefly dips into that level of vulnerability at the start of the chorus.
2. The original brings in a pad of oboe and brass horns which I found distracting and kind of dissonant, while the cover sticks to softer strings and woodwinds (and maybe a church organ?!) with a timbre that compliments Bae’s voice.
3. In fact, I think the arrangement and mix for the cover is much more coherent and subtle overall. Cutting out most of the full orchestral band allowed more space for the vocals to breathe and to take center stage, while still blending seamlessly with the instrumentation.
4. And finally, whoever planned out the layered lead vocal harmonies really hit it out of the park, and they don’t even exist in the original! Particularly the high notes starting at around 4:46 add so much more to the already great chorus.
Both version are beautiful. The big difference is that the original was created for a movie, and a specific point in that movie, while this cover is in a vacuum. Both works best where they are, the original in the movie/ost of the movie, this one as a single or for casual listening

This is my second time listening to this song; debut and now and I am honestly blown away by how *good* it is.
