At least they could have gotten more customers with a pickup truck, but the prototypes that were accidentally seen by US media last year ended up raising more questions than answering them about how the next generation Mitsubishi L200 (also known as Triton, Rodeo, Colt, Storm, Magnum, or Strakar) could be mixed and matched with Stellantis DNA. Remember that in the past, Mitsubishi and Chrysler agreed to sell trucks like the Dodge D50, Dodge Ram 50, and Plymouth Arrow that were imported by Mitsubishi.
There are still pickups that are sold in some countries as the Fiat Fullback or the Ram 1200 even now. Now it would be great if Mitsubishi thought about getting back on track with their next mid-size pickup truck, ready to compete with trucks like the D41 Nissan Frontier, the brand-new Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, and the 2024 Toyota Tacoma and Ford Ranger, among others.
