Don't you know they won the UEFA Cup the previous year and they'd be a dangerous underdog in this 2003/04 season? Yes, Porto played with caution but it was the Champions League, the club was in financial dire straits and the players were worth a penny. But combined they turned into a fighting unit that wasn't easy to beat and we, FC Porto supporters, knew something big was about to come such was the confidence in our team and club. Those who lived it know; those who didn't, well you can enjoy the boring tiki-taka whilst you chew your popcorns.

If Schole's goal wasn't incorrectly ruled out for offside this run would have never happened. Also Morientes had at least two 1-on-1 against GK in the final that was incorrectly ruled offside as well
