🎣 when I fish for trout here, I do use small topwater jerkbaits as well too. a yo-zuri pins minnow in a gold flame color. 2 inch 1/16 oz. I do catch some nice big rainbow trout and brookies with them as well. Nice going at catching these fish.
Nice video bro! Same here, this year I'm going to put a lot effort on the topwater lures. Caught a pike a few days ago on the topwater and it was amazing. I'm hooked now! Keep it going
Enjoyed that thank you it really is Shame that it’s not that trouty in the midlands the only waters near me are fly only I have had plenty of trout on lures over the years from small streams etc It’s a lovely lake you fished Top notch pal 👍🏼🎣🍻👊🏼
Great video 👍, I fished kielder a few weeks ago and decided to try out some cheap 3g trout spoons I'd bought off Temu haha, not expecting to catch anything on them but ohhh I was wrong they worked brilliantly, caught a few trout on them and nearly every cast I was getting follows to the bank, they were Dynamite
Hi Charlie, great video, just wondering, you said the braid you were using is called favourite braid, could you if possible give me the full brand name if you can please, also how do you attach your fluorocarbon to your braid ? Thanks.
Favorite is the brand mate (spelled like that). It’s the Favorite Arena braid in 5lb. If I’m at home and have the time I use an FG knot. If on the bank then I’ll use an Alberto knot, or even sometimes I’ve used a micro tippet ring from my fly fishing tackle. 🤙🏻🎣
No mate I don’t. I try to keep things as light and streamlined as possible when I’m fishing with ultra light lures and all a swivel will do is cause extra unnecessary damage weight.

Good stuff! Honestly spoons and things like that, as long as the hook is sound, you can’t go far wrong. 🤙🏻🎣
Been years since i fished fontburn. Forgot how peaceful it is up there
Yeah I think it’s my favourite site I work at

Hi Charlie, further to my text, do you incorporate a swivel to your setup to prevent line twist when using braid ?

Hi Charlie, where did you get your hard tackle box from which can hold your rods and terminal tackle, reels etc.
It’s by a brand called Meiho. Notoriously difficult to get in the UK. I think I ordered mine direct from Japan.
