In my mind I classify the Lancaster prep series as light, dark romance. Things I wanted to Say (I personally found it really quick and addicting to read) but is not the most loved of the series so if you don’t like it you can read A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime and there’s really nothing you’d be missing because they follow different characters (Whit and Crew are cousins and their fathers are brothers so that’s really the only connection and the characters from each are referenced but the stories are each their own and can be read as true standalones).
i’m picking 5 books for my january tbr and those are the sanatorium by sarah pearse the perfect marriage by jeneva rose the serpent and the wings of night by carissa broadbent and a court of silver flames by sarah j maas !!! im just getting back into the groove of reading after a months long reading slump but im hoping i can read those 5 and hopefully more :) happy reading there are so many picks that are on future tbr from yours so im excited to get to hear your thoughts!!
I just finished Once Upon a Broken Heart it is a really good book. I love the characters. I read the Caraval series before reading the Once Upon a broken Heart
I have way too many books on my TBR that I actually started last year and I'm currently reading Wolf Pack then A Torch Against the Night the second book in the Ember in the Ashes series
I’m super excited your girlfriend chose Throne of Glass! I hope you love it. It’s my fave SJM series. I also loved Powerless. I want to get a physical copy at some point since I read it on my kindle. The cover is stunning. Hope you love that too!
I am trying so hard to decide if I want a throne of glass + crescent city reread before the new one comes! I read ACOTAR not too long ago… but it’s been a long time since I read Throne of Glass.
For Lancaster Prep, I classify it more as interconnected standalones rather than a series. It is one of my favorite series for sure. The couples and characters will pop up in all the books, but there's really no background that you would be missing if you were to read out of order, since all the important stuff is in the couple's book anyways. That being said, the supposed order is: 1. Things I Wanted to Say 2. A million kisses 3. Promises we meant to keep 4. I'll always be with you 5. You said I was your favorite When I read it, I read 2, 1, 4, 3, 5 and was never confused. That being said, A million kisses is the favorite for sure, though I did rate TIWTS 5 stars so I hope you love
this is so helpful, thank you so much! I think i'll start with things I wanted to say and see how I like that one and then continue on, I'm very excited!! 💗
I NEED to know your review of The Other Mothers when you finish! It sounds like an interesting read. Also, your TBR jar really values your girlfriend’s book recs 😂 you get that one every month!
