James, as a business owner myself, I find your content fascinating and inspiring. I am a similar age to you, but I only got into entrepreneurship in the last few years. I run a £1.5 million business, and it blows my mind how many pies you have your fingers in. I'm not sure how you do it!

It's amazing the strange deals that can happen. But as long as it makes sense when you know the details it's all sane and good. Just avoid the type of strange deals where the money sounds good but the details don't make sense, never buy what you don't understand.

Very interesting, packed video. Couple of questions:
    1) You mentioned you get lots of leads without having to look. But for someone with no public profile, or prior business experience, where would you find them?
    2) Do you recommend trying "organic" first to see if we have any entrepreneurial aptitude? Or do you think acquisition is a sufficiently different skillset that it's okay to target first without having run a business before?

No worries James-a friend of mine has recently purchased 2 businesses! He should definitely come on your podcast, he said he wants to but seems reluctant! Would you message him directly on instagram? One of the businesses he just bought for no money down is so interesting and would love to see how you would market it, as they are not sure how to gain new customers in such a NICHE sector.

Maybe a media producing company could be a good acquisition, I’m sure that’s crossed you mind already though. You could make all types of videos about different areas of the company. Codie Sanchez in the US has got a huge channel now and I think she did something similar.

I want to buy a business but I’m not sure my sector has anything. I’ve been an online marketing/high ticket sales and high performance coach for my career. Built a marketing agency. I’ve helped many clients scale to 7 figures selling high ticket coaching programs in the health space (like fitness) and in the biz coaching niches. Loads of experience coaching CEOs and founders. Lots of experience scaling social media accounts. Lots of experience with lead gens funnels etc…experience selling courses. I’m not sure what business could be good to acquire based on these skill sets. Any Insight on this?

Work in hospitality and leisure and you’ll see massive peaks and troughs in revenues.
You’ll have people working part time and full time.
We have circa 400 ish Full time equivalents
      In addition….
A lot of people don’t want to work full time, hence the 1000 people!

Yeah, but if it's high barrier to entry that means it's not suitable for someone who isn't already a business owner. So basically, all the good opportunities exist for people who are already well-established.

    • @JamesSinclairEntrepreneur
      @JamesSinclairEntrepreneur  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I disagree.
      It’s a philosophy and mindset.
I started out in a low barrier to entry business, once I understood the philosophy of mindset you can start getting your ducks in a row.
The aim is to keep building moats around you.

I got 3 grand to my name.. i feel its probably better to buy lottery ticket than a business in America... plus like you said, only 5% make it. If they dont make it they likely lost all their money.
Biz is too much garbage to deal with, regulations, uncle sam beating you down.. Gotta work 8 days a week before any profit.. It's too much work to break even. Id rather go to job & get paid instead of paying to go to work. Like i have for the last 6 years, i made it past 5 years but why? Someone with only 3k to their name has no business starting a business or owning 1. Im closing my shop in about a week. My life will improve greatly. Let some rich dude blow all their money.
From the other side it looks like taking advantage of people when their down. But thats how you make money in the business world. You take it from others. My problem is im too nice to be ruthless.
