Yeah, it's really tough to see more groove-based dancers like Majid get some much credit when Paradox is right up there with him, albeit a little more subtle. He's got technique and groove, but if you don't make your grooves obvious, or have a ton of power moves like Rochka, people don't see it.

arashaad daavidson remember he doesn’t always battle to win, he just wants to dance. His intensity depends on how he is feeling, maybe at that time he was feeling a certain way different to the vibe of the song, and a dancer like him cannot fake how he is feeling. But he is something else, and arguably one of the best dancers in the world.

Discard Rochka’s boys overhyping him throughout the battle, i enjoyed Paradox’s flow and complexity WAY MORE imo. Paradox was enjoying himself out there dancing super clean!

Unpopular opinion. Paradox won first round. His vocabulary was on an entirely different level.

Rochka did REALLY good. REALLY good...BUT he relied on big moves/blowups in order to leave big impact. Which isn't a bad thing at all. It's smart and it's very effective to have those moves. But at the same time, does that make up for lacking groove, lacking arsenal of foundational moves, lacking concepts, etc.? No
Paradox showed more consistency of style, deeper connection to music, a larger movement vocabulary, and his rounds were good without tricks.
If you take away Rochka' s tricks you'll see how lacking the dance was in these two rounds specifcally. Maybe you could argue he "outperformed" Paradox.
But Paradox out dance him. If you understand, you understand. If you don't, you don't.

Agreed! 💯 Paradox is in my opinion one of the few who studied dance.. Like there is so much knowledge in his moves that you can see that he tried to have a overall perspective about dancing.. Biggest inspiration for me! Im also a fan of Criminalz Crew but Paradox is on a whole new level when it comes to put out complex moves paired with style, groove, rhythm, musicality and so on.. When he wouldnt be injured Im pretty sure that he would smoke Rochka in the first song because you can see that he had so much energy that needed to be expressed but he has held back the explosion.. I hope that he recovers fully so that he can show his real potential!!

Paradox is such a great sport and very humble always acknowledging a good move or lines by his opponent..much kudos to rochka on a great performance he definitle fed off the energy of his cheering section and hit on soome gret lines and big move..paradox was much more fluid and sharp with his whole freestyle. Both did great in their own right

Paradox never gets the credit he deserves, not hating on Rochka . both of them are amazing. I personally think there are a number of purely original dancers like Paradox that are the heart and soul of hip hop dance, and then there are trend seekers. big difference between the trend setters, and trend seekers. that said Rochka never gets credit for his power either, he is a Beast! on a side note, originality, and smooth flow always wins in my mind. shout out to both of these men!!!! p.s. where is Killason? dude should be there!

i'm so happy to see paradox battling again. these are 2 of my favorite dancers i've been waiting to see this battle haha. it's hard to say but the best way for me to describe the first round was that paradox out-danced rochka but rochka out-battled paradox. paradox hit every beat, was sharp as hell, and flowed seamlessly and rochka musicality was on point too but he had more energy/character, expressed the feeling of the song more and told a better story. the 2nd round was a tie for me. at that point it's i guess it's up to the judges preference. hype is a tool that u can utilize in a battle as long as it's not only just hype and nothing else. rochka's round had hype but he displayed more than that. off the top of my head, other dancers that are good at that are maika from rushball and laurent from les twins

This battle was dope, but in my humble opinion, it is so strange to see such kind of outstanding reactions over and over after the same old tricks. No doubts about the hype given by Rochka, but it seems like we are just waiting for scream all the time someone goes on the floor and not when we see some sharp wave or line. It seems like characters have more importance than technique, but I think that dance is not all about the hype. I'm so happy that Kevin is back btw. PEACE

Dance is not beatkilling. Beat killing is about timing. Dance is about groove, understanding of music, rhythmic differences, timing, etc. NOT beatkilling
Even it’s old, it’s still their signature. I watch them dancing at least 2,3 times in a row, movements are sharp as knife with musicality. And my reaction goes like Rubix’s 😬

Thats great battle. Kevin come form 2 years after a leg injury and showed the level, but Rochka didn't stand in one place. Great battle and sorry for my engilsh. I have 8 favorite dancer who inspired me and they're included in this number.Both great rounds

First of all, dope battle - both sides did great! Paradox nailed it with his flow, all through his rounds, thats how I personally feel! Roshka took advantage of some crowd pleasers, based on short selected b-boy tactix, but his rounds came up short. Anyways, thats how it was.. btw I don´t know Paradox in person. I am not a hater. I just watch closely, when 2 big giants collide... thanks for this battle!

At 4:7 Rubrix had no choice that to give paradox his flowers...that smile was everything...As for Rochka's first round, every time I come back to this video it's to watch how proud Rubrix was of his brother...
After rewatching these guys and listening closely to the music a good 5 times, I still don't see how Paradox lost. At the very least, there should have been one more round because I see he definitely DANCED better than Rochka in the 1st.

Completely agree! His dance was more complete, he showed more consistency of style, played with different timings and rhythms very well, and had a larger vocabulary/concepts.
Rochka had nice blowups but that doesn't mean he out DANCED his opponent. Paradox out DANCED him. Regardless of the hype and regardless of the blowups.
The audience didn't react to some of Paradox's musicality because of how subtle it was. He honestly took that 1st round against Rockha. I've rewatched this 6 times and listened closely to the music as they both danced and I still feel the same. Rockha had some amazing moves, but he didn't dance to no where near as much of the song as Paradox. Crowds have bigger reactions to big moved though, but smaller movements should not be overlooked despite this.

Yea, I just came back since 2019 and Paradox took the 1st round to me. Rochka had big moves, but it appeared that Paradox was dancing to the music the whole time whereas Rockha kind broke with it at times to hype the crowd. Good battle nonetheless.

@@zangetsu1597 I don’t know man there’s something disconnected about paradox in that first round, Rochka was able to seamlessly transition into the lyrics/lyrical flow every time. While paradox did have the better musicality, Rochka had the better essence. Still incredibly close battle though
