I absolutely love this blade, and, when I get my hands on one of these, I'll make a old fashion wooden scabbard for it, fantastic knife

    Great review 👍🏽.
The attention to detail on the Blackout is outstanding. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design. Amazing, balance, execution is superb on the handle fit and finish and the blade shape is epic. The Asset is another great knife. Love the blade shape on the Asset. The Atayal XL I’m looking forward to it release.

There are very few products with this knife type and a certain length.
The back of this knife is very thick, so it has a certain weight, but the center of gravity is very close to the grip, making it easy to control.
    I would recommend Atayal XL

It's a pretty sweet blade. The larger version is quite nimble as well

I want one of those Blackouts so bad...thought they were going to release some with the Apocalypse finish and jugle camo grips...
I was lucky enough to get one of the HD apocalypse camo grip versions. AWESOME knife that needs a matching little brother !

That first knife id call it a scimitar shaped blade, I like the looks of their knives, do a nice hallow grind on those last 2 and they'd be perfect!

The first knife looks like a good Mellon slicer

Did that last knife have a hollow grind? What an epic unboxing 👍

Shouldnt the balance point on a big knife like that be a bit forward heavy? I see people do that balance test and i just dont get it. I can see why you wouldnt want it to be handle heavy but otherwise a bit forward seems like it would be better no?

I would personally never design a knife that's a slicer to be imbalanced if possible. The Atayal is not a chopper, rather a large field knife with a sweeping belly for continuous slicing. Somewhat machete-esque. With that finger choil for control that's where I want that balance point. Forward weighted while gripping the handle and neutral while on the finger choil. Literally perfectly executed in my opinion.

@outerlimitless interesting, thanks for the explanation 👍
