Actually, kun khmer is kun khmer. Muay Thai is Muay Thai. Nobody copied anybody. You are spilling hatred towards each other. You should NEVER said anybody copied anything from any countries. Yeah, the fighting is similar, just like Muay Laos and Burmese Letwei. But, If you want to know the truth read the writing on SOME of those Muay Thai belts. Not many Thai people can read it, unless, they know how read khmer. But, khmer people can read it.

Fact - MuayThai fighter must start since they was a little kid. The training make a bone break a little bit and regenerate to make it harder to become a useful weapon. You can see a lot of MuayThai fighter kick an oppenent like it's nothing because their legs are harder than a baseball bat.

To answer a question you asked at end...why don't Thai fighters compete in UFC? They compete in plenty of other promotions outside of Thailand, after all. There are two, closely related answers to this question. First, they have no ground skills - and indeed, consider wrestling on the ground to be dishonorable. Second, "ground and pound". It's difficult to put into words to a Westerner just how outrageous this is to Nak Muay. To continue to pummel a man when he's already down is beyond dishonorable. Even if it was legal under Thai rules (which it never would be, but even if it was), if anyone actually did it the entire stadium would be in uproar.
There will always be neighboring countries of Thailand who try to claim that Muay Thai came from them based on the carvings on the wall, but will they know that the carvings are created by India? The country was not created It's a pity that they tried to claim many Thai things as theirs. You probably won't be able to build it yourself in time. Claim it better than it's easy.

if you look at 5:35-5:40, you would see "Somrak Kamsingh" the one of best muaythai fighter and Olympic boxing champion(Featherweight) in 1996 Summer Olympic. Thai ppl also call him "Genius thaiboxing champion" from Lumpini too, I suggest that you would search on "Samrak Kamsingh" and Samart Payakaroon", these two boxers were genius and unstoppable champion at their prime [many thaiboxer avoid to fight them in the ring for fear to lose]

FYI the narrator is wrong when he says Saenchai was given up "2-3 lbs". It's more like 20-30 lbs at times (as you can see when they're next to each other, by one guy being a lot taller but not being super skinny in comparison, similar frame proportionally)...
That is A LOT in fighting. Even when it wasn't that much, it was still often 15 lbs, which is also a lot.

He makes it looks so eazy, but to do movements like that you have to repeat untill it becomes natural. The counter strike that he does makes the oponent to be afraid of atack because nobody can predict what is coming.
And lots of top tier Muay Thai fighters have hundreds of fights and wins. It's very different from Boxing etc. It's not uncommon for Thais to become stadium champions (having a Lumpinee or Rajadamnern stadium belt is higher regarded than being World Champ in WMC, or WBC Muay Thai, let alone some bullshit championship like ISKA) by age 15-16... many are physically shot by their late 20s, because they fight since childhood and they often fight once a month, hence they have such extensive records.
Muay Thai is very harsh on the body, especially if you're not as defensive/countering as someone like Saenchai or Lerdsila.
Khmer say that they are the origin of Muay Thai, but Khmer still use elbows, knees are not very good at all, I am very confused.
