The longhorns have a really good roster, I am not so concerned with offense, I think it will be a balanced and very explosive offense with Arch at the helm. I am probably more concerned with the defense being as dominant as 2024. That Defense made the difference and kept them in games when the offense wasn't working. The OSU game is going to be a tough test, but OSU will also lose a significant amount of players to the draft.
We definitely need to add some additional talent through the transfer portal for depth but I like the young talent that will be stepping up next year. QB - I like our top three QBs (Arch, Trey Owens and KJ Lacey) WR - We’re loaded with young talent (Moore, Wingo, Ffrench, Lockett, Niblet, Livingstone, Butler, DuBose, McCutcheon and Michael Terry) RB - We’re loaded with talent (Baxter, Wisner, Clark, Gibson, and our two talented freshman coming in) TE - Amari Niblack, Jordan Washington, and some additional young talent - solid OL - Goosby, Hudson, Campbell, Baker and some additional young studs that will step up - solid DL - Brevard, Shaw, January, Hills, Sharma, Terry, Charles - good to great DE - Loaded (Simmons, Vasek, Moore, Burke, and some young studs coming in) Linebacker- Loaded (Ant Hill, Lefau, Smith, Spence and young studs coming in) CB - Solid (Mohammed, Black, Guilbeau, Warren and talented young guys coming in) S - Loaded (Taaffe, McDonald, Williams, Filsamme, and some elite freshman coming in) Just add a few more pieces for depth in some of these groups from the transfer portal and we’ll be fine.
I have to admit I'm a bit concerned about next year. This year was supposed to be THE year for groups like the O-line and despite them being good they didn't really hold up against some of the better teams like GA. To me that doesn't bode well for next year and especially when we have a new QB that will certainly have some growing pains being the full time starter for the first time. On the bright side he is more mobile so maybe he can cover up some O-line deficiencies but that will be asking a lot. We shall see. Hope TX does well in the portal.
Texas' strengths in 2025 and where I want them to focus is QB, RB and front 7. Texas needs to be a running team in 2025 moreso than relying on WRs. Not that I'm not high on that room, but this RB room is stacked. Baxter, Wisner and Gibson is Texas' version of Georgia having Chubb, Michel and Swift. Texas will have a strong WR room imo but I think 2026 is the year for that room to get to Ohio St level. I will say if Texas has a wonderkid break out, Ffrench, Terry or Lockett, it could be there in 2025. Front 7 is unfair and stacked. My biggest concern is corner and it's mostly the fact there's a lot of new guys coming in like Kobe Black and Warren Roberson. Safeties will be unfair if Taaffe is back. I'm not worried at all about OL btw. I'd like to get a portal guy or two, but I'm not too worried.
@@DwayneOckletree Who does Texas lose to on that list? Bama couldn’t be OU or Vandy. Ole Miss couldn’t beat Kentucky, LSU couldn’t beat Florida, Tennessee couldn’t beat Arkansas, USC couldn’t beat Michigan. Texas beat all those teams. Maybe OU’s schedule looks tough because OU is a bad team.
@@DwayneOckletree You’re not making any sense. You say Texas faced bottom of the barrel QBs and defenses, but you’re praising the same teams that lost to those bottom of the barrel QBs and defenses. USC lost Michigan, Maryland, and Minnesota. Who is the best QB out of those 3 teams USC lost to? Cut it out lol
Loving this coverage. Thanks for breaking this stuff down. Subscribed
Much love!

Agreed. The offense needs to carry a little more weight next season. Thanks for watching
The only thing that concerns me is the offensive line and secondary
Losing a lot in both spots, for sure. Thanks for watching🤘

I agree, tons of experienced guys are now gone. This was the year we had to capitalize on and win the national title.
Lots of talent coming in
#1 recruiting class doesn't hurt! Thanks for watching

UT has to hit the transfer portal to fill the O Line needs
Tbh i thought they lost too much last year to compete this year
I did too. Hopefully they're back in the same spot next year
With OUs SEC schedule they would not have been in playoffs. Texas was lifted a joke schedule.
Oklahoma lost to Navy
@Duzypriicee SEC schedule played Tenn, Ole Miss, Bama, USC and LSU.

@Duzypriicee Texas faced bottom barrell QBs and trash defenses. Tenn, Ole Miss and USC all beat Texas.
