I've been playing The Mageseeker for a few days now, and it's fun, challenging (or maybe I'm just bad at video games), and quite refreshing. You do not need to know anything about the lore like Necrit predicted, you are fed the lore along the way when the plot demands it (and it demands it often enough that you should be learning something every quest or every other quest). There are flashbacks, characters that are endearing and relatable (Yops is my favourite character so far in the first part of the game, they're just fun), and I'm really enjoying the story so far. Gameplay wise, it takes a little bit to understand how it works (On keyboard and mouse you move with WASD, attack with the mouse where it throws the attacks in the direction your mouse is pointed from your character, but also you shift-click a lot and use the keyboard for spell stuff. My brain has a hard time comprehending it and I'm still messing up a couple hours in, but again I may just be bad at video games). I do recommend buying it if you're on the fence, because regardless of how I feel about the controls it is still very fun.
As for the whole corruption/hypocrisy of Jarvan IV, you can't forget that Garen knew and turned a blind eye to his sister being a mage, while also holding the view that all mages should be jailed. It's found out in the Lux comics (SPOILERS FOR THE LUX COMICS) that Garen (and I believe Tiana) were petitioning Lux to get married with Jarvan IV. Reason being, you can't get executed if you're a princess and soon-to-be Queen of Demacia (more people would have to turn a blind eye to it, lest they anger the prince/soon-to-be King), and it's easier to petition Jarvan IV for leniency or even straight up law changes if it would positively affect his wife (there was an added bonus of Jarvan not being able to marry Shyvana).
for the sylas he is a mage with no power he has to have some magic near to recast it he was in prison 15 years and got none near then lux come and chanel the ligth with his chains if he didnt have them he cant control the power that why he kill the kids at young age

The name of Kayle's and Morgana's mother is Mihira. I don't know why Necrit pronounces it as "Mira", but that is incorrect. Also, even if Sylas would touch his chains, nothing would happen, since Sylas himself doesn't have any magical abilities, he can only use someone else's magic. And no, Tianna is not a mage, she is a commander of Demacian army.
1, English isn’t his first language so it’s pretty likely he won’t get everything right h’s form the Czech Republic I think so it’s not like he’ll hear much English day to day. 2 Sylas does have some magic, he can always see mages so if you have any magical ability or an object has magic essence he can see it and then if he touches it he can temporarily use that power.
