So following the trade-in of the Tucson and acquiring this Year 2000 Alfa Romeo 146 2.0 Twin Spark 16V Ti, on the day when I got the car itself - and in accordance with my usual SOP - I sent the car to Alfatech in Sunway for a FULL check-up. Happy to note that even they were amazed at how well this car had been looked after, and that's always a good sign.
This is probably one of the best condition cars I've ever bought insofar as internal, external, mechanical, electrical and peripheral stuff is concerned, and since I've saved a bundle on usual things that I need to do like fit new tyres, battery, paint, etc. I'm gonna make sure this 146 continues to be tip-top. As with any used Alfa Romeo acquisition though, issues will invariably crop-up eventually, but I'm chuffed to say we seem to be off to a good start with this one!

Thank you!! Actually I had very few issues with this car, it shares the same powertrain as my ex-155 2.0TS, which is one of the better and more reliable units for this generation of AR's 😀👍🏽

Beautiful car, I've just bought a 1998 146 1.8 t spark in Proteo Red, completely stock and original, I absolutely love it and the steering is great but it's on old (worn out) suspension and old tyres so so far the handling as confident as my previous Alfa's (147).

the brown key is the master key, required when making new keys for the car. if lost, the whole ecu might need replacing..part of the factory immobiliser.

How's the water temperature doing on a hot weather with air conditioning on? Over 90 celcius?
Still around 90° and doesn't go into red, got caught in a terrible jam at midday and it was stable, I admit, I was worried tho, hahaha 😉

High revving indeed, but so far it's been pretty frugal actually, I'm surprised too 😅
There is a same car with the same color in condo that I live. I think it is abandoned for a long time, stay in the parking lot since the first day I live here. I thought it is Proton Perdana old generation

Alfetta is the model name, like Brera, Giulietta, Alfasud, Giulia, etc. 😊👍🏽🐍

@@idawan09 yup, they're just the names of the AR models, Alfetta translates to Little Alfa, and Alfasud means Alfa South, where it was built 😊
