Down the road you won't remember how exactly how much you spent on the cruise but you will remember the fun times with the family. Money well spent. I enjoyed the tour of the boat. -Marc
So glad I found your channel. Planning a cruise is a lot of work! I haven't found a channel that breaks it down in a way to my liking but hands down great video. Lots of info I wanted to know and kept me interested beginning to end!!! ❤❤
I loved this video. I just came from a video from someone else complaining about things they didn't like. I started having second thoughts. But these people had been on several cruises before. I love the fresh perspective. I'm not a high maintenance person and I got the feeling that is true for you guys too. I'm glad you all enjoyed the trip!
We know exactly what you mean. In the beginning we felt there was way too many people. Once people begin to settle everyone scatters which is very interesting
I don't know if Solaro 'The Tequila Bar' on the Boardwalk still does it, but when we went 5 years ago on Oasis, they had an opportunity to make a reservation for lunch. It was an extra cost of about $30, but we made our own guacamole and margaritas in a group setting. It also included lunch and it was so much fun!
Thanks for the vlog! Being your first cruise, you guys seem like professional cruises! Looking forward to seeing other vlogs! Sorry, tell your Mom happy belated birthday!
It really is! And I was pretty nervous about it at first, will I get motion sickness? Will it be clean? Will I get bored? None of that! You could fill your days with activities or also sit by the pools/hot tubs doing nothing… it was great
Great video!! I love cruising and been to many of them and Royal Caribbean without a doubt are the best!! They are really Royal in the cruise industry!!
if you spend a lot of time waiting for a good trip, you can get really good priced ones. I got my royal caribbean cruise for only like 2k ish base, add 1200 for the deluxe drink package for 8 nights. But i just found one on carnival for only 1500 for 2 people. Not sure whats included. But that was cheaper then my RC base price
Definitely a completely different experience. What was most shocking was the food. The food and drinks were amazing. Every thing we ate and drank were delicious. We thought since they’re mass produced it wouldn’t be that great but they proved us wrong
that’s a great looking ship! nice view from the interior rooms. 😎 that green space is incredible! I would definitely spend a lot of time there. sooooooo much food on cruises. great tour, guys! can’t wait to catch up on the videos from each stop!
Yes hey guys I'm enjoying seeing everything that you are giving information on thank you so much I would like to know the next time the Allure of the Seas is in Galveston I do cruise I am fixing to be on my third cruise with the Jubilee on May 11th through 18 I cannot wait. If I can get some information about the Allure of the Seas next time it's in Galveston I would appreciate it like I said thank you for all the information in the hard work you done from the great state of Oklahoma this is Latin Okie
So glad you guys had such a good trip! It sounds like Lety & I just missed you guys in Houston and Cozumel! If you guys are passing through Houston again and have some spare time, let us know. We can get you guys the inside scoop on Houston area state parks. Houston’s food scene is amazing, too.
we'd love inside scoops on fun things and good eats in Houston! We've been passing through Houston more often lately (a few times a year now) mostly because of Kevin's work but it's never more than a couple of days. We also have some family in Houston. Would be fun to do a meet up next time we're in town! thanks so much
Yes it is! The lobster was the only dish that was limited to one per person, but otherwise, you could ask for as many items off the menu as you want the entire cruise! The lobster was amazing... as was just about everything else we ate. I would do this cruise again just for the food without even caring where the cruise goes lol
Great video lovely to see cruising for a change. Looks so much fun but I would definitely eat too much🤣. Happy 60th Birthday to your mum Kevin what an awesome way to spend such a special day.❤
Looks like a fun experience. Not sure if we would take a cruise, as the idea of being out at sea is unnerving for us. But that's awesome for people to see a lot.
I was pretty nervous about it, too! especially since I get motion sickness so easily, but I felt 100% fine and no motion sickness 🙂 aside from that, I was also worried about hurricanes.. thankfully it was a smooth sailing 😅
You dont actually notice it much once you get moving if you are on one of the larger class ships like this. There is so much to do inside and on deck that I rarely find myself looking out over the ocean.. and typically if you watch the travel lanes that these captains use they stay fairly close to land in the event of an emergency. For instance, if you leave out of Port Canaveral or New Jersey, you would ride only a mile off international waters where they could divert back to land or to a coast guard contact within an hour or two. I was anti-cruise as well. Now I am 9 deep. By far the easiest method of vacation assuming you are within a few hours of a port.
No definitely not because the drink package is $100 per day per person (and it gets charged to your room so both adults in that room must pay the package if one of them gets it). We bought 3 bottles of wine that week at about $50 each and $350 on the occasional cocktail (buying for ourselves, for our fam). We should have included this as a tip! But we did not purchase the bottle of Caymus, we brought it on board with us. You’re allowed to bring 1 bottle of wine per adult. Kevin’s dad got the bottle of Caymus though I don’t know how much for. I just did the math and we had 14 bottles of wine between the 5 of us on the cruise (Kevin’s mom doesn’t drink) 🤯🤯😅🍷
@@EatBailaTravel Still made a great video!Did you feel busy with the schedule on the ship?People say RC cruise relatively makes you busier since many things need to book book book。
Not bad; could have been better simply by taking your time. Many of your camera shots were less than 2 seconds. Your "pan" shots were way too fast. And speeding up the film at anytime is a no-no. Let people enjoy your camera views of the ship features long enough to get some perspective: 10-15 seconds. Glad you had a good time.
appreciate the feedback! we've gotten into the habit of editing for audiences with short attention spans, but I can see how this could alienate people who appreciate the slower, scenic shots
Why claim you have an "Inner room" and act happy to have a window, when you know damn well you paid for a balcony room? Can't trust a word these people say when they're lying to their viewers 2 minutes into the video.
It was my first time on a cruise. I didn’t pick the room, Kevin did, so it was a complete surprise to me. All I knew prior to seeing the room was that it was on the inner part of the ship. I’m sure Kevin knew about the balcony, but I didn’t.

Great video… I’ve never been on a cruise. This just moved me a bit closer to booking one. 🎉
We never thought on being one but given the occasion we tried it out. If you book with time it comes out way cheaper

lol we're definitely not high maintenance. We had a wonderful time and I think it depends on the attitude you carry 🤗
Wife and I did that ship a few years ago. You brought back some great memories. Thanks.
Ah I’m so glad 😊 thanks for dropping a comment!
This was a great beginner guide for cruising. Well done.
Thanks so much!
All of that looks really fun, but there are too many people for my taste, lol. Love the shots of Kevin's family!

Glad you enjoyed it!☺️
We do this ship in about 8 months. Thanks for the tour. Looks amazing.
That is awesome! Have fun!
Nice Vid guys. Now I want to go on a cruise 🚢😊😬.
Have you ever been in one?
@@EatBailaTravel no. My wife has been asking me to take her to one, but I thought they were kinda boring, your video tho made me want to get on one 😬
Added this video to my favorites :) Y'all helped me so much on my recent cruise on Allure with my family. Awesome tips and tricks!!
Aw, I'm so glad!! I hope you had an amazing time on the cruise with your family.

We’re currently looking at taking another cruise next years hopefully we find something good.
Best cruise ever
And to date, our only cruise ever 😁
Thanks for the run-down of expenses. Lots of tricky things to navigate like Drinks Package, Internet, excursions, etc
Do you remember the main dinning restaurant you was assigned to? The food looks so good! I have a trip coming up in 2024
It was called “main dinning room” but the ones above were Silk and American Icon. They all shared the same kitchen

this cruise was 7 days and 7 nights. Glad you liked the video!
We just booked today on the
Allure of the sea, but it is going out of Orlando!
Woah it’s changing ports already?? When is your trip?
@@EatBailaTravel jan 2024
Oh that’s right I think it’s switching ports sometime in November. Are the stops to Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel still a part of your itinerary?
@@EatBailaTravel No, it stops in Bahamas and coco cay.
That ship is bigger than my town 😮😮 It even has a central park 😳🙄🙄
that ship is equivalent to a small city! it's pretty wild

Thank you, glad you enjoyed. Saludos
I have a question, I'm going on this cruise and I was wondering when Im at lunch dinner or breakfeast would I have to pay for drinks other than water?
correct! Unless you've purchased the beverage package. They offer like a soft drink package and an alcohol package.
Wow that ship is like a city
honestly, it was like being on a small floating city! it had EVERYTHING.
Waiting for the day que me lleven a un cruise 😇 Hehe

6:20 Wipeout! 😂 jk I love your videos! I’ve never thought of my self as a cruise person but now I’m seriously considering it after this
Kevin totally edited most of this video because he conveniently left out the video clip of him getting wiped out 😆
Always Always get the alcohol package is about $400 - $500 Drink all you want! 🍹
Next time for sure lol
I rode on library of the seas
Library of the Seas, that’s a cool name. Is it book or literature themed?
In retrospect, would buying the drink package saved you on what you spent, and how much was the bottle of Caymus? Great video!

What dates did you go on the cruise? Is this before or after the freeze that killed all the plants in central park?
We are fresh off the boat. We went July 9th-16th 2023
@@EatBailaTravel Great thanks!
If I only want to make one excursion for ONE of the ports, which one will you recommend? Thank you so much :)
I think if I had to choose, I’d choose an excursion in Roatan. They have lots of options including interacting with wildlife, pyramids and beaches
