Because I’m a nerd who loves overanalyzing things especially music and because this song enamors me with its lyrics and portrayal of William and the fnaf story I’m gonna look at some parts that intrigue me “The two of us are trapped in here again” this feels like William is speaking to Henry. Despite this conflict being nearly 40 years long, they always find themselves back here with nothing to show for it. “Maybe You’ll come around or maybe I’ll burn it down” despite being friends for many years before all of this, henry and will can’t negotiate. Neither will give up their quest and every time they think that maybe the two of them can find common ground, the other retaliates “I’ve been looking in the mirror, I’ve been losing me.” Will has been springtrap for so long that he’s beggining to lose who he was before. It’s been over 30 years trapped in the suit, hes forgetting how to be human. How to be himself. “Running in a lonely race, the finish line’s a cursed place” Will seems to realize that this is never ending. Every time it appears to come to an end, he comes back. Because to stop would mean all of the agony he’s caused himself and others would be for nothing. But he also seems to realize that even if he gets what he wants, it might not be worth it all. He’s separated himself with everyone he knows and everyone he loved are all dead or hate him. In the end, was it worth it? “All the pain and the anger is my only home.” Much like the ‘I’ve been losing me’ line. He’s been springtrap for so long that the agony of death and his hate is all he has left. “Every night I scream and shout but I know that there’s no way out” deep down, William wants this to end, but he believes that he can’t stop without all the agony he has caused to himself and others being for nothing. He screams and shouts for the end, but he knows he can’t stop. “I’ve been running from my fear it’s eating me alive” William fears his own mortality and it’s consumed him. He can’t bear to accept death and would do anything to escape it.
The only William Afton song that's actually about his main deal... He always comes back, no matter how lonely it gets, no matter how insane he becomes, he won't die, he refuses to, Running in a lonely, The finish line's a cursed place,
I feel this isn't just about William. I also feel it's also about the Fnaf franchise as a whole. We always come back, no matter how bad SB was, and, no one can burn us down. Happy birthday freddy and friends, We'll always come back.
One thing I love about this song, is that I can connect to the lyrics on a personal level, I've have been losing myself recently & my anger has been increasing as well due to past pain & afraid to find away out just to end up back to where I was in the first place believing that there no way out at all
I've loved almost all of Nate's songs so far. But this one has a different beat that the rest, no heavy drums, steady beat, sorta in a new direction for the song and style of Nate's songs. Not that it is, but it's a strange but it just a fitting and refreshing way for this song specifically. I really love this. Also besides the reference to no more and possibly time to move on or obsolete (your the one to blame) the beginning reminded me of Salvaged acoustic
I was wondering why I listened to this one a lot more than a lot of his recent stuff. The style change is very noticeable and it's nice. Not that the other stuff is bad, it's great.
The drums are very steady, which I like because it adds emphasis to “running down a lonely race”. The pace keeps the beat in a somber way and it really accentuates that idea of William pacing forward, undaunted by what’s being inflicted on him. He keeps coming back, and he will keep coming back.
It's still so strange how this song isn't that widely known across the fandom yet. It's CRIMINALLY underrated in my opinion; the emotion in Nates voice and the lyrics perfectly show a side of Afton that many fans of the game don't seem to think about. William isn't just an insane child murderer who cares about nothing! He's a man who has to endure this life he trapped himself into. 100% my favorite FNaF song!! We need more like this!
Whenever he ties the songs together i get such a rush "Maybe one day you'll find humanity, until then don't you dare say that we are the same" is from "No More" and I think one or two of his other songs. Just absolute chills! As someone who has been following his music for eight years now, it feels like an added bonus for the og fans
The thing about Nate's fan songs is that they don't sound like generic fnaf songs. They sound more like a combination of modern pop and anime openings, and man am I in love with this song.
I just love how a lot of the songs here represents some part of my life and automatically become what makes me forget about my sadness while I listen to them... it's magical
I didn't even know it was a FNAF song. It would've been great if it would've been in the movie as Afton said "I always come back." Lyrics are just perfect and Nate's voice is just hilarious! The way he portrays an emotion or something related to a game makes him enter directly into a character. Well done!
Easily the best music video for one of your fnaf songs. It fits the lyrics of the song, which is one thing I feel like a lot of your fnaf music videos are lacking. Something as simple as having a sprite of springtrap running with the lyrics "running in a lonely race" goes a long way. I also really appreciate how the lyrics of this song characterize Afton. They still keep in mind that he's a terrible murderer, but it also showcases some of the complexity of his character. I'm so glad that none of the lyrics talk about regret though, because if you're a man with as much will to live as William, you have NO regret. Just a lot of pain and anger. I also like that the song is seemingly directed at Michael, and that the final lyrics are from his perspective. All of the shots in this video are really unique and beautiful. Matches the song very well. Absolutely lovely!
An absolute banger, as always. It might’ve already appeared again in ‘Sandcastle Kingdoms’, but I still quite appreciate the reference back to ‘No More’ at the end, there.
Literally everything I know about FNAF is from your music videos. Never played the games or was ever even interested, but your FNAF songs are seriously amazing. I feel like they're getting better over time too.
I love how Michael's end response is hopeful, but also very doubtful. He wishes his father to be better, but knows it's near impossible to fix a man who is cursed with immortality and insanity from not being able to join his wife and son in the afterlife.
this song isn't meant to make you try and sympathize Afton after all he's done, its a book telling you what it's simply done in the end (my take atleast)
I want to give this more than one like.. for real, I just can't describe what in this song makes it so damn good. This song made me like the rock music genre. Great job.
Due to the "Maybe one day you'll find humanity" refrain that goes through so many songs, you could TOTALLY make a cohesive Springtrap musical with Nate's songs
I like how this song makes it sound like he’s trying to convince you that he is not to blame that he is the victim. And the line at the end if it has been used at lot does really help get that point across.
This is really incredible and really catchy and really adds to the character of William Afton, Incredible FNAF song Give Heart definitely adding this to my playlist have a marvelous day
This song is amazing. This song tells about William, about what kind of "hell" he went through, I understand his pain, and when I look into his eyes, I not only see, but also feel his pain and suffering. That's why he's my favorite character
AMAZING !? It’s the only think that I can say with the fact that this song is totaly INSAIN 🔥🔥 A veritable banger !! Thank you Nate for that insainity you did a WONDERFUL job !??!
It's been so long that I've forgotten , but it is buried deep in my common sense The first song I knew of you was "mengled". And look now, my tears flow after I see your work again.
Now there's a song made for William's catchphrase XD Its amazing how this song could be really explaining William Afton's character, his desire for inmortality, his fear from the death. It feels like he's talking to Michael. I like the beat it has :)
I’m a little than month into university. During the summer, I felt that my childhood was dying, like a part of me was dying. I just want to say I’m so glad that your music was a part of my childhood Nate. Thank you for the memories
That NO MORE callback at the end shattered my heart in a thousand pieces and rebuilt it again, for a second, I went back to being a fnaf kid in 2015 hahaha!
Almost all of his songs have some form of Easter Egg to other songs, games, or even easter eggs INSIDE the games he's writing songs for and I live for it- All of Nate's songs are banger, but whenever he does a small easter egg, like the lyrics from No More, I can't help but love coming back to these songs ❤❤
"Maybe one day you'll find humanity until then don't you dare say that we are the same" lyrics from the song No More love how you mixed it in this song
I also like “ i’ve been looking in a mirror I’ve been losing me running in a lonely race the finish lines a cursed place” implying that he’s lost everyone that he’s ever loved his wife, his daughter, and his son and that the finish line is him going to H E Double hockey sticks
I'm sure I'm the only one who thinks that the part of "mabye one day find you'll humanity etc..." He convinces michael by telling his father, and good to all this... I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THIS SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL
I always imagine this song as a duet between William and Michael Afton with lines like "I've been looking in the mirror I've been losing me" "every night I scream and shout but I know that there's no way out" and of course "maybe one day you'll find humanity until then dont you dare say that we are the same" fitting Michael a little better than his dad, and some others like "don't you tell me I'm to blame you're the one who sparked this flame, despite your actions I always come back" sounding like a direct conversation between them
I love you! Every song you put out is always a banger!!! From covers to originals, you never disappoint! Thank you for all your work!! And for such an amazing song!! It's on repeat now for work! :D
Maybe I'm a broken man Maybe I can barely stand But the two of us are trapped in here with him I know that it's so bittersweet, fitting now, but it's still me It's something beautiful and it's back from the dead Maybe I'll come around Maybe I'll burn it down before we make a decision Maybe we'll see eye to eye Or maybe I'll come alive before we make a way in I've been looking in the mirror, I've been losing me Running in a bending race, the finish line's a cursed place, yeah All the pain and all the anger is my only home Every night, I scream and shout But I know that there's no way out Don't you tell me I'm to blame I'm the one who's got these flames Despite directions, I always come back (I always come back) Maybe I'll come around Maybe I'll burn it down before we make a decision (Decision) Maybe we'll see eye to eye Or maybe I'll come alive before we make a way in I've been looking in the mirror, I've been losing me Running in a bending race, the finish line's a cursed place, yeah All the pain and all the anger is my only home Every night, I scream and shout But I know that there's no way out I've been running from the feelings eating me alive Find another way to sell a room that is my own in Hell All the pain and all the anger is my only home Every night, I scream and shout But I know that there's no way out (Maybe one day you'll find humanity Until then don't you dare say that we are the same)
A great thing about original songs like this, especially when they're this good, is that you don't have to necessarily connect them to FNAF for example, you can connect them to a lot of different things. For example, this song could just as easily be about FNAF as it could be about Red Hood, and I think that's super neat.
This is an incredible video!! And this song is officially one of my favorites. It’s beautiful lyrically and instrumentally, and you couldn’t even tell it was a fnaf song when it first came out. You are truly amazing Nate and Give heart!! ❤️❤️
I love how that line at the end has followed fnaf in nearly every song that's based on FNAF and I love it, pretty sure it was in sandcastle kindom aswell which I thought was a nice teaser to the fnaf album, amazing song, I knew it was an afton song from the name and I can still listen to it without connecting it to fnaf
Maybe I'm a broken man, Maybe I can barely stand, But the two of us are trapped in here again. I know that it's so bittersweet, FItting now, but it's still me. All the pain and all the anger is my only home! Every night i scream and shout, But I know that there's no way out! _Maybe one day you'll find humanity, til' then don't you dare say that we are the same_
I've been looking in the mirror, I've been loosing me! That's a double meaning line, Nate was scared of loosing himself while being swallowed by fame, and every time Afton comes back he looks more disgusting and decayed, to the point he doesn't even recognize himself anymore
BRO THIS SONG IS STUCK IN MY HEAD AGAIN!!!!!!!!! I remember when this song came out. I was listening to Spotify and I didn't realize I had turned on shuffle, so this song played. I had just finished watching Breaking Bad for the first time, I thought this song's lyrics were so fitting for Walter White 💀 I was just discharged from the hospital yesterday because I had started to fall into a depression again. Listening to this song makes me feel so hopeful and empowered, for my life, for rock music, and for my future. I genuinely love this song so much, I'll never get tired of it. Never stop making music!!

Nate, I've been listening to you since I was 14 years old, now I'm 21, and you haven't changed the magic of your songs, simply epic!
The lyrics are so beautifully written, and they makes sense inside the fnaf lore and outside as well. A masterpiece
8 Years Of Fnaf really does fly by...
And what a way to cap off the celebrations.
Yup 👍 😅
Whenever he ties the songs together i get such a rush "Maybe one day you'll find humanity, until then don't you dare say that we are the same" is from "No More" and I think one or two of his other songs. Just absolute chills! As someone who has been following his music for eight years now, it feels like an added bonus for the og fans
I was expecting "maybe one day you'll find humanity" to be used, and it still gave me chills. Great song as always, Nate!
The thing about Nate's fan songs is that they don't sound like generic fnaf songs. They sound more like a combination of modern pop and anime openings, and man am I in love with this song.

Love your music, Nate !
:D
Nice!
I heard it on Spotify first and until the very end I didn’t realize it was a fnaf. That last line sounded to familiar.
Where glitchtrap he is also william that's how he escaped his hell and vanny transport him to his old but newer suit
OH man, the final part of the song brings a lot of nostalgia
Ik right
RIGHT?? It caught me off guard! I was like wait a minute this is familiar... OH YEAH- Got literal goosebumps from nostalgia!
I've been waiting for this! Hits so hard...rlly captures springtrap/William Afton
I’m so glad Nathan’s back making songs to add on to the type of fnaf content we love and I love every one of his one liners
Well done!

I love FNaF songs, what don't hear as FNaF songs, they're very rare, and its coolest Springtrap song what i heard in my life
Easily the best music video for one of your fnaf songs.
Yup 👍
An absolute banger, as always. It might’ve already appeared again in ‘Sandcastle Kingdoms’, but I still quite appreciate the reference back to ‘No More’ at the end, there.
Literally everything I know about FNAF is from your music videos. Never played the games or was ever even interested, but your FNAF songs are seriously amazing. I feel like they're getting better over time too.
Banger of a song! Works incredibly well with and without FNAF context, so happy it’s fully out on YT
I love how Michael's end response is hopeful, but also very doubtful. He wishes his father to be better, but knows it's near impossible to fix a man who is cursed with immortality and insanity from not being able to join his wife and son in the afterlife.
It's evident with the final line. 2:21
@@ShadowsVibingPlacethat's the line this comment was referring to
OOOOOH IM REALLY LOVIN THIS ONE!!! 💚
this song isn't meant to make you try and sympathize Afton after all he's done, its a book telling you what it's simply done in the end (my take atleast)
I personally imagine the song is actually sung by Henry diverted towards Wiliam
That last line could DEFINITELY be from Michael to William.
Hit number 1 song on my On Repeat so fast, and is now my 3rd most listened to song according to spotistats, love it so much
I want to give this more than one like.. for real, I just can't describe what in this song makes it so damn good.
Underrated song deserves 1M likes keep up the good work :D
I love this song so much holy!! Nate's fnaf songs always just hit different, and the callback to no more at the end was so good
This is really incredible and really catchy and really adds to the character of William Afton, Incredible FNAF song Give Heart definitely adding this to my playlist have a marvelous day
An absolute banger as always! And the TH-cam release couldn't have come at a better time, since today's the 8th anniversary of FNaF.
Once again, a gorgeous song Nate. Can never go wrong with a Natewantstobattle song
i love the 'no more' song reference ! great song, burntrap is very underrated.
I think so too
This song is amazing. This song tells about William, about what kind of "hell" he went through, I understand his pain, and when I look into his eyes, I not only see, but also feel his pain and suffering. That's why he's my favorite character
Да, но нет Уильям убил детей за что и горит в аду
Ну как горит, так живых себе
Nate drops a banger song on anniversary day. Wow!
This is the best song I've EVER heard! thank you guys for this!
I love this song so much. I literally have it on repeat and can't stop listening to it. Great job Nate! Keep up the great work!
Like how you used the scraptrap fnaf pizza sim line in this song as “I know that it’s bittersweet, fitting” as opposed too “bittersweet, but fitting”
Once again, you never fail to impress the audience with your songs for any genre. Even for the Fnaf franchise and the chilling Afton tales 🤩😎
Probably a deliberate choice that this song is in the same key as 'No More', especially since it has that lyric at the end, and I love it!
YES. THIS IS AMAZING. You've made my whole day, I'm going to be listening to this on REPEAT.
Daaaaang this one is SO good! The intro gave me chills. Something about the way Nate sang this one is just a tier above!
This for me will be a Salvaged Part 2 and I love it. Felt the same way when I heard it for the first time. Love your work
It's almost an evolution of Salvaged
AMAZING !? It’s the only think that I can say with the fact that this song is totaly INSAIN 🔥🔥
A veritable banger !!
Thank you Nate for that insainity you did a WONDERFUL job !??!
It's been so long that I've forgotten , but it is buried deep in my common sense The first song I knew of you was "mengled". And look now, my tears flow after I see your work again.
This song is an absolute banger, especially with the intoduction of Burntrap at the end. Amazing animation too!
As I was just looking for new songs to listen to, I didn’t think it would be a fnaf song. Looked at the title as I was shocked. This is a masterpiece.
Another banger from Nate, haven't seen a bad song yet from NateWantsToBattle lol.
That NO MORE callback at the end shattered my heart in a thousand pieces and rebuilt it again, for a second, I went back to being a fnaf kid in 2015 hahaha!
The raw emotion in his voice in the chorus is just chilling man.
Almost all of his songs have some form of Easter Egg to other songs, games, or even easter eggs INSIDE the games he's writing songs for and I live for it-
All of Nate's songs are banger, but whenever he does a small easter egg, like the lyrics from No More, I can't help but love coming back to these songs ❤❤
Best spring/scrap/burn/trap song I've ever heard. Change my mind.
As amazing as this is, I would LOVE to see a slow acoustic rendering. A Banger as always, Nate
Right back to "mangled" one of the first FNAF song I heard from you nate darn good song.
Happy 8th anniversary FNAF! 😍
Goddamn. I've been listening to your fnaf playlist, and these all fucking slap. Love your shit, Nate
"Maybe one day you'll find humanity until then don't you dare say that we are the
same" lyrics from the song No More love how you mixed it in this song
I also like “ i’ve been looking in a mirror I’ve been losing me running in a lonely race the finish lines a cursed place” implying that he’s lost everyone that he’s ever loved his wife, his daughter, and his son and that the finish line is him going to H E Double hockey sticks
This song is fire. Amazing work. 🔥
I'm sure I'm the only one who thinks that the part of "mabye one day find you'll humanity etc..." He convinces michael by telling his father, and good to all this... I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THIS SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL
I always imagine this song as a duet between William and Michael Afton with lines like "I've been looking in the mirror I've been losing me" "every night I scream and shout but I know that there's no way out" and of course "maybe one day you'll find humanity until then dont you dare say that we are the same" fitting Michael a little better than his dad,
and some others like "don't you tell me I'm to blame you're the one who sparked this flame, despite your actions I always come back" sounding like a direct conversation between them
Phenomenal
Gosh dang it! Now I have to listen to this another 2... hundred-ish times. I can feel William's pain in it, so good mate. So good.
I understand you, I also feel his pain because of this song and I feel sorry for him, he suffered more and longer than others
I love you! Every song you put out is always a banger!!! From covers to originals, you never disappoint! Thank you for all your work!! And for such an amazing song!! It's on repeat now for work! :D
Maybe I'm a broken man
Maybe I can barely stand
But the two of us are trapped in here with him
I know that it's so bittersweet, fitting now, but it's still me
It's something beautiful and it's back from the dead
Maybe I'll come around
Maybe I'll burn it down before we make a decision
Maybe we'll see eye to eye
Or maybe I'll come alive before we make a way in
I've been looking in the mirror, I've been losing me
Running in a bending race, the finish line's a cursed place, yeah
All the pain and all the anger is my only home
Every night, I scream and shout
But I know that there's no way out
Don't you tell me I'm to blame
I'm the one who's got these flames
Despite directions, I always come back
(I always come back)
Maybe I'll come around
Maybe I'll burn it down before we make a decision
(Decision)
Maybe we'll see eye to eye
Or maybe I'll come alive before we make a way in
I've been looking in the mirror, I've been losing me
Running in a bending race, the finish line's a cursed place, yeah
All the pain and all the anger is my only home
Every night, I scream and shout
But I know that there's no way out
I've been running from the feelings eating me alive
Find another way to sell a room that is my own in Hell
All the pain and all the anger is my only home
Every night, I scream and shout
But I know that there's no way out
(Maybe one day you'll find humanity
Until then don't you dare say that we are the same)
If I was already obsessed with the song (on Spotify) now it will be with the video!! Great job Nate, I LOVE IT.
Bro I regret not approaching this song earlier! It’s amazing! Also the link at the end to nothing more was brilliant.
A great thing about original songs like this, especially when they're this good, is that you don't have to necessarily connect them to FNAF for example, you can connect them to a lot of different things. For example, this song could just as easily be about FNAF as it could be about Red Hood, and I think that's super neat.
The vocals, the lyrics, the instrumentals is just JHDSFF AAAAAAAAAH
Great Song! Brings me back to the days FNAF 3 was still a huge thing
I can’t get over the references to William Afton’s lines in FNAF 6, they’re done so well
This is better than anything I was expecting, this is beyond incredible, it's a godsend!
As always, knocked it out of the park. I almost feel bad for pee paw willy
Maybe I'm a broken man,
Maybe I can barely stand,
But the two of us are trapped in here again.
I know that it's so bittersweet,
FItting now, but it's still me.
It's something beautiful,
And it's back from the dead.
Maybe you'll come around, maybe i'll burn it down.
Before we make a decision,
Maybe we'll see eye to eye, or maybe I'll come alive,
Before we make our way in!
I've been looking in the mirror, I've been losing me!
Running in a lonely race,
The finish line's a cursed place.. (yeah)
All the pain and all the anger is my only home,
Every night I scream and shout,
But I know that there's no way out.
Don't you tell me I'm to blame
You're the one who sparked these flames
Despite your actions, I always come back. (I always come back)
Maybe you'll come around, maybe i'll burn it down,
Before we make a decision.
(A decision)
Maybe we'll see eye to eye, or maybe I'll come alive,
Before we make our way in...
I've been looking in the mirror, I've been losing me!
Running in a lonely race,
The finish line's a cursed place. (yeah)
All the pain and all the anger is my only home!
Every night I scream and shout,
But I know that there's no way out!
I've been running from my fear,
Its eating me alive!
Find another way to sell, a room that is my own in hell!
All the pain and all the anger is my only home!
Every night i scream and shout,
But I know that there's no way out!
_Maybe one day you'll find humanity, til' then don't you dare say that we are the same_
this is so underrated I can tell you put a lot of effort into this
I've been looking in the mirror, I've been loosing me!
That's a double meaning line, Nate was scared of loosing himself while being swallowed by fame, and every time Afton comes back he looks more disgusting and decayed, to the point he doesn't even recognize himself anymore
I was hoping at least one of Nates songs ended up in the fnaf movie. Here's hoping for the second one 🤞🏾
Fnaf songs are starting to sound good and nostalgic again.
Yes
BRO THIS SONG IS STUCK IN MY HEAD AGAIN!!!!!!!!! I remember when this song came out. I was listening to Spotify and I didn't realize I had turned on shuffle, so this song played. I had just finished watching Breaking Bad for the first time, I thought this song's lyrics were so fitting for Walter White 💀
I was just discharged from the hospital yesterday because I had started to fall into a depression again. Listening to this song makes me feel so hopeful and empowered, for my life, for rock music, and for my future.
I genuinely love this song so much, I'll never get tired of it. Never stop making music!!
