Probably made worse by the fact it's his PSVR, so by rights he should get first go, but clearly Ellen wrestled the controls from him as soon as the words "tiny mouse" were mentioned. Silent Giant strikes again!

At one point in this video I thought Ellen stopped squeeing for a moment, then I realised she had just gone so high pitched only mice could hear her.
Isn't this game just regular Ellen life, being tiny and cute and sometimes needing assistance in order to reach stuff to high up.

Great. Now I have to go around collecting feathers again to wake Ellen from her squeak induced coma. I hope I get something better than a cape this time...

Had a DM like that once, it got to the point when if he said we'd be levelling up soon we'd just start rolling new characters.

To be fair, the PCs kind of ask for it sometimes. 'Are you SURE you didn't forget anything before leaving this tomb? REALLY sure? You've checked everything for ancient curses or something before packing it away?' *PCs continue to miss my increasingly unsubtle hints that they are MISSING SOMETHING and say they're good* "Okay... *scribbles into notes that I now need to keep track of the number of days before the lich they just killed re-forms and comes gunning for them*'
I don't HAVE to try to murder the PCs. I'm learning that, given enough time, they WILL manage to screw themselves over to the point that a TPK is inevitable. All I have to do is sit back and wait....and then snicker sadistically when it all falls apart. DMs aren't born evil, but after enough sessions good old schadenfreude starts to turn a bit darker. It's a slippery slope...

I'm amazed that Ellen hasn't read the Redwall series. I've loved them for years, and I'm so glad Luke at least has read them. If you read this, Ellen, please try them. They're all superb! 24:03 "It's a Lord of the Rings but for mice!" is also an excellent description of the Redwall books.

I hated that game. APE! The villager, there, in the sea. Pick him up and put him on the beach. No, NO! DON'T EAT MY VILLAGERS! STUPID animal. Pick the villager out of the water and ... do you even see the water? COME HERE! What is it with this ocean, anyway? I can pick them up myself anywhere else. Look, really, all I want you to do is come here, pick this up, go there and put the thing down again. We've done this before with food. This time it's ... oh, never mind.
As a shorter than average person I gotta say, all the commenting on Ellen’s size is... irking. Why must humans point out, discuss, point AT, make jokes about, and in general “just observe” that people are shorter/taller than others? Is it not the same as discrimination? Either way, once I can actually manage to look you tall freaks in the eye and tell you all this I will! YOU JUST WAIT.

Redwall was adorable, but its spiritual descendant is Mouseguard. This game looks like Mouseguard made VR, which is awesome.

Luke, though I love the fact that you like Redwall saga. I find myself having to correct you. The founder of Redwall was actually Martin the Warrior, son of Luke the Warrior. The Legend of Luke was published in 1999. It was actually in the book Mossflower published 1988 where Redwall Abbey is actually founded by the survivors of Loamhedge and Martin after the defeat of Tsarmina Greeneyes by Martin himself....but yeah Luke the Warrior is cool too!
I'm screaming THAT'S NOT HOGWARTS that's 100% the Reading Room in Suzzallo Library at University of Washington!!! I study there all the time!!!! The developers are based in Capitol Hill. So if people want to see it in real life you should come check it out :D

Lol, so cute! Redwall was the first thing I thought of, too. I read that series multiple times growing up--epic stories for tiny creatures, and thoroughly British.
Also, a suggestion--for future VR videos, maybe you could put a brief warning/reminder at the beginning that VR can cause motion sickness. I got two-thirds through and then realized I was super nauseous. (Don't worry; I finished it later =) )

I'm a bit late to this video, but I too got major Redwall vibes from this game. I also found myself being the guy going "Actually Luke, the mouse who helped found Redwall Abbey was Martin, SON of Luke." Although, you are correct, he did eventually have his own book named Legend of Luke. Apparently, the story was carved on to the hull of a beached ship.
I can imagine tall Ellen treating short Luke like a tiny adorable mouse... well honestly she kinda is... I do already view her like the OXBox cat just an adorable ball of giggles and dawww, and tall Ellen is the OXBox dog... a great dane too big for everything and always a bit confused with his surroundings but just so content and happy with just being included. Mike is also an OXBox dog, the ill behaved one that destroys things and loves car rides but doesn't really understand what he is doing wrong and has such an adorable and happy smile you can't stay mad at him. Jane is the OXBox Raven of ill omen... bringing doom and bad luck to all while "borrowing" all the shiny things she lays her eyes upon... and Andy is the OXBox dad a haven of bad puns and constantly questioning how he is the mature one... James is the OXBox David Attenborough.
"Squirrels are like my biggest weakness" Ellen must have a hard time waking through Parks in England, being paralyzed by a "giggles and squeaks attack" every time she sees a squirrel (which are many, and adorable if I remember correctly from my visit to London last year).
Also, love how Ellen kinda recoils and wants to pet quill at the same time the first time quill appears! and how Luke calmly tells Ellen he is going to call 99 (assuming it is emergencies number) in advance before she has a heart attack, that's companionship! :D

Quick comment for Ellen (may get soppy) I had a rather tough day at my hosp as a current medical condition seems never ending and returned home less then happy with things. But Ellen's infectious laugh and joyful passion to gaming just instantly made me smile with this video that it was better medication then the NHS could provide. Also watching Luke attempt to manage normal presenting with the entire side effect dept of Ellen on full blast was also a joy to see. Thanks guys. (Met Ellen last year at the injustice 2 UK launch party, genuinely lovely lady )
Ever have one of those moments that's just so pure, so innocent, so irreproachable that you just feel... calm? Where something in your chest gets all warm and fuzzy and you can't help but believe that maybe, just for a moment, everything will be all right?

Okay, so I've been watching a good bit of 'Dirk Gentlys Holistic Detective Agency' lately, and I just really think that the character of Dirk Gently is basically just Luke. Is this just me or?
We all knew what this video was when we clicked on it. It's almost as if we had experienced it before, like a sort of TH-cam deja vu, AND YET, here we sit. Watching it happen just like we knew it would.

Luke... I'm surprised at you. You let Ellen play a VR game with an adorable mouse and other little critters and expected to watch game play? I mean I thoroughly enjoyed Ellen's little noises and squeaks about the mouse because she is adorable. But you should have known better.
Currently playing Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition which recently released, would have been nice if the developers of that had thought to make the characters glowly when behind stuff or make trees disappear when they're blocking the player's view.
How I think the process went down when they decided to play this:
Andy: Guys, we have to showcase a game that shows a day in the life of a mouse.
Mike: Who fits the bill for this one? Who's more suited to play this to the full extent of its cuteness?
Jane: I think I have an idea. - pokes her head out of the room and in the sweetest voice- Oh, Ellen, we got something for you.
Either that or Ellen simply called dibs and clawed at anyone who would even dare to challenge her.
Makes me want to dig out my Redwall books. Loved them as a kid so much. This seems a lot like it.

I think I just figured out how to completely overload Ellen to the point of no return... Take Kingdoms of Amalur and replace all the people with small woodland creatures. SO basically KoA with mice.
THANK YOU for referencing the Redwall books Luke. I love them. There was even a 2 (maybe 3) season TV show about the Matthias vs Cluney years.
When I proposed to make something like this for my final year project, I got rejected. "NOO" they said, "Terrible idea" they said. Look at this one making it into the market.
Anyway, glad to see Allen enjoying herself like that. Watching that made my day.

Came here after watching the "14 Best Moments 2018" video, and did not get disappoint. My objective to hear Ellen swoon over a tiny mouse was fulfilled.

The Redwall books! Oh my Gods yes Luke it is somehow like super duper unsurprising that you are a fan of those. Also yeah they were brutal and badass my tiny middle school mind absolutely fell in love with anthropomorphized animals because of those!!
Giving us a view of Ellen reacting to the game and Luke reacting to the Ellen-ing was a brilliant idea. Makes me wonder... what if we had a VR game where we play as Luke and we have to guide Ellen around to some adorable animal friends? Get on it, indie VR developers!
