Good start for them man. Finally a game that rewards you (most of the time) for good plays in the defence/offense. Lost my whole weekend on this game but it was worth it.
I agree with the fact that finesse shots are too overpowered. That can be easily fixed. It was a 3 day open beta. Compare the beta from EF to UFL... Took years for EF to go from the worst rated game EVER (2022) to the current state (2024). In regards to defending and tackling- try to jockey before tackling. About DOA claims: I dont agree with it , at all. Far from that. The game has been received in a positive way, mostly. Most football game pro streamers reviewed it in a positive way, and most of the online community are positive about the game. There are areas were UFL is way above EF. Graphic wise, for example, UFL is clearly above EF. Market wise , UFL wins. Menu wise- UFL wins. The only area where EF is above UFL is gameplay wise, for now. What I love about UFL is the Fair to play stuff. I dont need to buy coins to be able to buy packs to have a random player pop out. I can buy the player I want, if I have the requiered currency. UFL will get their money from cosmetics/skins/ stadiums etc. Which is not a bad idea. I know I would spend money on that. If UFL polishes the game, adds more animations , I think they're going to be a serious competitor on the market. EF needs to improve the graphics or they will be forever labeled as a mobile game. EF had YEARS to turn into a better game, but they do not. Why? Because they make money from the current state of the game and they dont care.
As a Efootball guy it was so refreshing to play UFL. I’m way surprised actually at this game, I wasn’t looking forward to playing it caz I lowered my expectations but it surpassed my expectations and I believe by release date it’s gonna be a proper game
Connection was superb, no lag. It was a great surprise. Yes, there were few matches cancelled due to network but the gameplay was lag free. Gameplay needs major reform though.
One thing I really like from ufl is Menus which are way ahead of efootball's mobile based menu layout. Also there is some tactics in ufl (even though it might be copied from eafc) but it's still better than dumb down tactics of efootball. Gameplay wise it can be slowly fixed let's not forget efootball was lowest rated game on steam and they fixed issues gradually. So in my opinion it has potential.
I completely agree with you brother. UFL showed some nice foundations, specially off the pitch. Gameplay needs adjusting, defending, finesse and sprinting being the most critical. But off the pitch gives you a lot to grind for, which is lacking in eFootball
I enjoyed it played over 70 matches over the weekend to grind for a decent team which made a big difference in the gameplay. Loved the UI and the fact it's cross play is a big win. If they tweak the gameplay more towards Efootball then Eafc they could have a winner on there hands. Let's see what happens it has great potential 👍🏼
Its funny how Ea fc players complain about the passing and say that the defending is the best part. Meanwhile Barry is saying the exact oposit. I guess its a very diferent game to anything we have wich could be good in the future. The only thing evrybody complains about is finness shots.
Very promising game. Need some added animations, in game improvements. Server connections is better than Efootball n it’s a beta , some on field elements already better than Efootball like defending and lack of collisions, delays etc. this game I feel will sink Efootball within months after release if Konami don’t step up
Despite the games obvious flaws i still enjoyed playing it over the weekend. I just found it so less stressful to play than eFootball. It needs a serious amount of work though, there's no doubt.
The ball psychics really put me off. It feels too light when moving and passing. Players also feel like they’re gliding on the pitch. Very much like EAFC in that regard.
Really thought the game was pretty crap and broken in many areas but it was some fun. However, there’s some potential there for a solid alternative. Even then I think they really need some serious polishing
i feel disappointed with UFL. played 2 games and I already know i lost 15 years of life expectancy i feel like my player aren't professional footballer can't control the ball can't do basic pass they take more time to shoot than the cancer take to finish my grandpa. In the end i got promised caviar but got shit thrown at me .
in all fairness, for a starting point, the games half decent. I would have like it for them to keep the beta open because idk if 2 months is enough time to fix some issues given the games been in work for 4 years. great review, hope all is well brother 🙏🏻
@@prodigy84bg My personal guess is that the boss who is leading the project had far too high expectations, and out of dissatisfaction he had the game re developed again and again. The first parts of FIFA and PES weren't perfect, UFL was supposed to be a near perfect game from the start, you can only fail if you have that kind of attitude. ,
Everything looks great until you get to gameplay, it's a lot like fifa in that regard. It's hard to comment on gameplay, it's so primitive and clunky it's hard to point out something specific they need to improve on, everything needs to improve by miles to be somewhat playable.

I’m not a loyalist, I just want to play a realistic and enjoyable game
Look at FIFA 17 it literally felt like that game without the scripting which is good but rebounds and finesse shots where OP.
Too overpowered lmao, imagine y’all seen it the week before on the closed test (which is the same as the beta) 😂😂

Only football games getting better if we Get game from 2k that will definitely help the football games
😭 I can't believe there still is no 100% true to reality football sim. Please someone make a playable version of Rush Football
We just need stuff to grind in efootball then it would be great
Exactly and Ive been waiting for years.

Player movement was like bricks on their feet. If they make it smoother, it'll be ok

You played 2 games with 50-60 OVR players. Of course it sh1t. Grind for a few games, test the higher overall players.
Pes for example is shit even with good players 😂
Lack of assistance? The game is fully assisted with no option to tone it down 😂 There is literally no option to change pass or shot assistance.
in all fairness, for a starting point, the games half decent. I would have like it for them to keep the beta open because idk if 2 months is enough time to fix some issues given the games been in work for 4 years.

The project started back in 2016, so I'd guess they've been working on the game for 7-8 years.
@prodigy84bg wow didn't know that

,
Quick question - what does UFL stand for?
Ultimate Football League
no cross :>

This game is dead on arrival for me. It's unplayable.
This game will die sooner than "the day before" UFL uses unreal engage for mobile 😂
this game need at least one year before the actuall release, right now, this looks bad and awful to play.
Its awfull
