Everyone is acting like Stefon Diggs totally fell off the cliff though. Buffalo had an OC change mid-season. Diggs was on a career-season trajectory during like the first 4-5 weeks. The OC change happened and they HAD to start winning games to save the season, they started running the ball more and keeping everything underneath. Got the tight ends involved more, got their slot receiver Shakir more involved. If other teams wanted to take away Diggs, Shakir and Kincaid got a lot of touches. Even despite all of that, Diggs still finished with nearly 1200 yards, 107 receptions(7th in the league), and 8 Tds(8th among receivers). By anyone else's standards, that's a great season for a receiver. His targets are directly in line with what they've been for the past 2-3 seasons. Even in his career year in 2020 where he had 1500+ yards, he still only had 8 TDS and only 6 more targets than this year. He's had 160+ targets every year that he's been in Buffalo. In Minnesota, he had ONE season where it even came close to that. The explosive plays have fallen off, largely because I think Brian Daboll ran a better offense in Buffalo than either Dorsey or Brady has. Maybe now that Joe Brady is gonna have an entire offseason to build up his scheme and not call plays out of someone else's playbook, Diggs will come back and have a better year. Just saying, the numbers are deceiving.

@SrixandoBavel he dont not since coming to buffalo. In the 13 second game he had 7yrds from 3 catches. The Bengals games the whole team played like trash. With this game this was our best chance. Diggs fumble on the first play and I'm done talking about that catch. He have a hard time getting separated and with allen constantly feeding him the ball that causes turnovers if he can't get to the ball

This was one of their best segments they have ever done. Both Unc and Ocho are right, top 5 changes every year but does not at the same time. There are different metrics to evaluating receivers, year-to-year and overall production. Stefon Diggs is still a top 5 receiver, feed him the ball and he will produce statistically the same as the top 5 from last year. Everyone is acting like Stefon Diggs totally fell off the cliff though. Buffalo had an OC change mid-season. Diggs was on a career-season trajectory during like the first 4-5 weeks. The OC change happened and they HAD to start winning games to save the season, they started running the ball more and keeping everything underneath. Got the tight ends involved more, got their slot receiver Shakir more involved. If other teams wanted to take away Diggs, Shakir and Kincaid got a lot of touches. Even despite all of that, Diggs still finished with nearly 1200 yards, 107 receptions(7th in the league), and 8 Tds(8th among receivers). By anyone else's standards, that's a great season for a receiver. His targets are directly in line with what they've been for the past 2-3 seasons. Even in his career year in 2020 where he had 1500+ yards, he still only had 8 TDS and only 6 more targets than this year. He's had 160+ targets every year that he's been in Buffalo. In Minnesota, he had ONE season where it even came close to that.
The explosive plays have fallen off, largely because I think Brian Daboll ran a better offense in Buffalo than either Dorsey or Brady has. Maybe now that Joe Brady is gonna have an entire offseason to build up his scheme and not call plays out of someone else's playbook, Diggs will come back and have a better year. Just saying, the numbers are deceiving.
