      I got it just before Christmas! Thank you! I still can't get used to seeing it in the videos. haha

    The attitude on the higher belts define how good a school is, now I know that you are in an excellent one. Way to go, great roll.

      Thank you Israel. Often during my training I never felt at home. I am honored and privileged to have found it here.

    I love when people don't realize that they're telling me exactly when they're going to move via their breathing. It's like an actual countdown. Makes timing so easy.

    Thank you for the Sunday post yet again. Finished a 2&1/2 hour open mat in Montana and my lunch meal content afterwards is always your channel.

    Love the round. Chill rounds are the best rounds

    • @Jitsover50

      I think all rounds should be like this. Thank you

    I have also started just letting go of arm bars. these crazy white belts dont tap lol so I just break the grip and let go unless its a higher belt and they start spinning for an arm escape. but these white belts will just chill on me and not tap and not try and escape. I do a lot of belly down arm bars and that shit makes me nervous lol
    Thanks for the content as always. Ive been working on chilling in my rolls but its hard to get time in with upper belts and I keep rolling Paul Fucking Bunyon the white belt who tries to climb me like a tree. But I have gotten better about not gassing against said Paul's

    • @Jitsover50

      haha. Jeez. I think arm bars are about control first. if I can't finish the arm bar but I can get my partner in the spider web. At the very least im not letting them out. Also if you can't finish try switching to the triangle

    • @jedsanford7879

      @@Jitsover50 My triangles are absolute garbage unfortunately, I need to work on them. I do a lot of arm bars and belly down arm bars from clamp guard or from the back. Or N-S kimura also, thats one of my favorite entries for the arm bar. Even the arm bar from top half guard, thats a nasty one everyone things they are safe in half and then oops, arm bar. Honestly 90% of my subs are arm bars. I hit the occasional americana or kimura but all of my chokes suck. I should spend the month working on triangles though.

    5 minute round is a pissing match 🤣lol. Great quote. Think he rolled forward at one point to try tighten a gi choke but it never worked.

    Just found your channel and I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve seen. I wonder if you have always been recording your rolls? When competing I always try to find someone to video my match but haven’t done so in training. Keep up the great work Oss!

    • @Jitsover50

      Hey Drew! Thank you! I used to record my rolls when I was a blue belt. If you search back you can see some of my stiff, blue belt rolls. haha. Then I switched to Marcelo's and they didn't allow recording. Recording your rolls and analyzing is an invaluable tool! Just place a camera on a tripod and hit record

    Agree I prefer long rounds. We had 2 minute rounds the other day in a busy class. As an older guy I can’t win the sprint but I can sometimes stay relaxed and win the marathon.

    Interesting to see you more on defense. I like the reminder (from example) to keep the same pace with different ranks.

    • @Jitsover50

      I will keep the same mellow pace and get my butt kicked but I am not getting injured because I am staying relaxed and avoiding big movements.

    Mike, do you do any conditioning outside of Jiu-Jitsu?

    • @Jitsover50

      Hello sir! I am Anthony. My professor is Mike. :). I go hiking once a week and ride a bike and electric skateboard. So not actual conditioning. I am not a fan of traditional workouts. I just enjoy staying active.
