Feel like the biggest shortcoming for Scarecrow across the years has to do with the inconsistency of the character's design. I mean even in Batman The Animated Series, which is known for distilling Batman characters into their arguably most iconic/zeitgeisty forms in both pathos & aesthetic, Scarecrow has a new design every time he appears in that series. The idea of Scarecrow has developed to the point of iconic Batman villain, but the aesthetic has yet to solidify. Which...it took until Darwyn Cooke for Catwoman, so maybe Scarecrow is just a Dan Mora drawing away.

Here's a scary zombie Scarecrow song I wrote to the tune of If I Only Had a Brain. Enjoy!
    As a corpse who's resurrected,
    My palate's unrespected.
Can't thrive on corn or grain.
    But your gland pituitary
Would sure make my taste buds merry
If I only ate your brain.
I would love to chew a lotta'
    Medulla Oblongata
    With sour cream or plain.
    Call it mind over platter
I would savor your gray matter
If I only ate your brain.
Oh, I would love to try
The meat packed in your head.
It's a fate I tend to think that you would dread
To be a feast for the undead.
I would still be dead and rotted,
    My skin all mold bespotted,
My guts all full of pain.
But my face I'd be feedin'
While your open skull was bleedin'
If I only ate your brain.

Not sure how we earned this, but we’re here for it.

Cognomen, Latin for basically "knowing name", is referring to his last name, Crane. Also "Hessian" were mercenaries primarily from the German State of Hesse.
