I’ve watched several of your videos the last couple of days before making my purchase today. Ended up at Freedom for most of my purchases which included the rewrap centennial and went to TNT for crypto, ice breaker, and living the dream. Avoided the box sets like the plague. Thanks for this, will be back on your channel every year you put out these review/recommendation videos.

According to my brochure collection (am I the only one who saves these?) Opening Show was introduced in 2012 for $59.99, so you were pretty close. Same year TNT brought out "Stacks Up" (remember that stinker?) and Short and Stout for $1.50. Delirium appeared in 2005 and was the HOT fountain to buy $39.99. Much different today, not so much crackle- pass it up. TNT had some other stinker finale pieces, 2003 Freedom 4, and Super Nova in 2007 $34.95. Who remembers "Freedom Tower" for $29.99, 2017, shown in the brochure, but yanked at the last minute for an exploding tube. Yes i have one. Your Phantom comments hit the Bullseye, see nothing there worth buying unless they were BOGO. Keep going!

I found one more expensive than that in NY. At a mom n pop, too. It was at least $150. But it was the size of one of those massive 500g zipper cakes! Dont know what it does, but it darn sure caught my eye!
You mentioned you hope living the dream isn't gonna be discoed. Well, on Red Devil Pyros channel, he went to the TNT showcase for 2024, and found that not only is that one being cleared out, so is Atomic Salsa, and Crypto. Along with several others. Apparantly, TNT is gonna showcase a ton of new stuff in 2026 for their anniversary, so they're basically having a fire sale. Maybe we'll see them in some rewraps or something similar. Stock up if you can.
This year I spent almost $1400 on TNT and only $400 on phantom. It hurts me to pay these prices as in the mid 90s like 94 9596. We were pretty big firework dealers in the Bronx and those giant kicks was like a four-time mark up. I’m just a regular customer smuck lol. the almost 2000 I spent on fireworks this year would probably cost me less than 800 bucks but I have to go to the main showroom and not these aftermarket tents. I stopped selling fireworks in the 90s once

When you’re spending that much money you should look into wholesale fireworks dealers for sure. It might be a drive for you to pick them up but could be worth it for 2-3 times the product
@@polarbearpyrotechnics I say the same thing every year and every year I forget lol and we shoot fireworks a little bit on June 30 a little bit more on July 1 a little bit more on July 2 etc. and I have to say the TNT so far so much better than the phantom. The only thing I like from the phantom this year was the giant smoke balls which are the size of a baseball. My son really liked those but everything else from phantom that I did so far this year just seem weak. Had way bigger cakes than phantom at least the places I went to this year in Rockland county NY. I’ll be 51 August 16 and I’ve been doing fireworks since a kid and in my early 20s. I worked for a guy in the Bronx who would get 18 wheeler loads of them and give me on consignment and I would pay him after July 4 or fifth. I still have some of those receipts. I would owe him six figures. And I was one of his smaller dealers. I missed those days.
What happened to red devil fireworks ? They use to have those in California

Assuming price doesn’t matter what would you choose solely based on effects between: centennial XL, atomic salsa, and turn up the heat ?
I’d go with Atomic Salsa
For maximum crackle: Atomic salsa
For maximum color: Centennial XL
I had turn up the heat, honestly I don’t recommend it
The sad thing is, about 6-10 or so years ago, TNT came out with a 500g fountain called These Colors Don't Run, which make Candy paint and Light Symphony look like awesome powerhouses in comparison. Now, I love fountains, but this thing was just boring... It just dragged on and on and on, with several awkward pauses. It was essentially a string of normal single tube fountains- with basic fx- strung together to go one at a time, one after another. Zzzzzzz... I shot it at a store's annual product demo (Getting to light thousands of dollars of someone else's fireworks off, to see what they do? Yes, please!!), and the crowd was not impressed. I could hear the comments from the firing line, lol. Every time the owner thought it was done, and began introducing the next item, it'd sputter back to life with another sad low power spray.
Needless to say, there was nobody lining up to buy it, later on at the store, lol.
The next in line was a powerhouse of a 500g fountain called Urban Conflict from Liberty Bell brand. THIS. This is how you do a finale fountain. The entire duration, it was going flat out- alternating every kind of crackle the factory makes. Big powerful, intense sprays. Some color and other neat effects were in there, too- but the focus was on the crackle. Looked it up on Kellners website, last night, and they still sell it. This one got wild cheers- and a bunch of people heading to the store to buy it. We wiped out her stock, that night!
Those 2, back to back, couldn't have been more different, if they'd done it on purpose. This was back when PA was still a safe n sane state, and these guys supplied a bunch of tents, so they had a fantastic variety of fountains.
Whatever happened to their Encore Fountain?
TNT assortments aren’t bad but look at phantoms so expensive

I had Crown Jewel about 12 or 13 years ago, and it was pretty solid. Then again, it was only 30 bucks back then. What is it now? A hundred? GTFO Phantom!
That’s really the only somewhat eventful finale they offer. Still blown away by TNT. 100 is absurd!

The area they’re most lacking in is their finales. Lacking is putting it nicely.
