“James the Less” Ewtn! Can be found on TH-cam. A romantic comedy of several very short episodes. They are processing season two! Yay! I was hoping so….and I hope they are making each episode more than only a few minutes.
My mom also had Alzheimer's. At the nursing home one day, while she was still verbal, she was doing laps around the nurses' station and muttering to herself. One of the nurses asked her if everything was OK, and my mother replied, "No one ever listens to me." The nurse said, "I'm listening. What would you like to tell me?" My mother whispered, "Thank you." It really touched the nurse.
I, too, love to watch Jimmy Akin! I have recently seen his programs about "will we be sad if a loved one isn't in heaven" and "ghosts," though I don't know the exact names of these episodes. He is so knowledgeable! I am also returning to the "Bible In a Year" series with Fr. Mike Schmitz which I stopped listening to several months ago, and I am picking up where I left off. My latest read is a book by Sr. Joan Chittister called " "Monasteries Of the Heart"---a wonderful book on how to live in the world but not be of the world. I highly recommend it!
Thanks for sharing these. Oh I think that I would just cry watching the nurse. I'd seen somewhere one of Jimmy Akins's videos & it was so interesting. People here believe in the hairy man and irrcinraqs (Yup'ik word for little people). I'm so very grateful for you !
Jennifer this was a great video (missed Kate but you had several wonderful suggestions.) Love them all and if I had more time in my day, I would read, watch or listen to them all.
I've been to St Michael's Mount in Cornwall with my husband!! this is so exciting how interesting! Thank you sooo much for the recommendation! As always, the best content! ❤️
Dear fellow Catholics can you mention the co redemptrix magazize from Marion press in England , they are beautiful and are similar to the Magnificat mini but is working towards the last Marian dogma thanks 🙏🙏🙏🌟
I loved the mention of St. Michael at the start of the video. He's my beloved patron saint. Lately I've been praying the St. Michael Chaplet because I'm doing the St. Michael's Lent ending on his (and all the Archangels) feast day on 9/29. I also wanted to set aside time especially for him❤
Where can you watch The Promised Land? I only found the pilot episode and loved it but cant find anything else 😢. Thank you for sharing good Catholic content ❤
We're so glad you liked it! As far as we know, right now there is only the pilot. It looks like more episodes might be coming though. Have you watched James the Less on TH-cam? That is such a fun Catholic series… more episodes of that are also hopefully coming soon :)
@catholicmomanddaughter thank you, I haven't yet, but I'm adding it to my watch list. Hopefully more episodes of The Promised Land will be out soon, It's hard to find good, clean comedies nowadays.
What have been your favorite things to read, watch, and listen to lately?
Thank you for the recommendations. I love your videos. Kate you were missed.
Oh, thank you! We are having to work around Kate's work schedule and Jennifer's teaching schedule, so it is quite the challenge!
I love getting these recommendations!
We're so glad you enjoy them!
I'm always on the lookout for 'light' Catholic entertainment or news. Thanks!

We love to listen to BIAY! Every time we do, we learn something new that we missed before. It's so awesome :)
Nurses are so wonderful. They are there to help during the worst days of your life. ❤
Amen!
Thanks for these resources. My kids loved Phillip Cambell on HC too.
He is a truly gifted teacher!

Thanks, Ann! Lol- I missed Kate in this video, too. Sometimes our cray schedules just don't coincide for filming easily :)
