Tent Camping in the Deserted Forest: Sudden Heavy Rain and Lightning Caught Us Off Guard

- This week, we chose a forested area for our camping trip. We set up our stove and chairs in our tent with a terrace, creating a cozy winter garden. After setting up the tent, we went on a mushroom hunt in the forest and found some amazing saffron milk caps (Kanlıca mushrooms). For dinner, we fired up our tabletop grill on the terrace. The menu included cheese-stuffed meatballs and the fresh Kanlıca mushrooms we had just gathered. Later in the evening, the sudden downpour, with flashes of lightning and thunder, added a different vibe to our night. Accompanied by the sound of rain and flashes of lightning, we set up our projector screen and watched a movie. Of course, no movie night is complete without popcorn…

And I am Soo scared of thunderstorm ⛈️ and lightning its very horrible .
You always seem to find the most amazing places to camp, each location is so unique and beautiful! And your video skills are getting better and better with each new video, I especially enjoy seeing your journey over the roads to reach your destination. And while *I* would not ever attempt to harvest, cook, and eat wild mushrooms, it's only due to my total lack of knowledge of what is safe and what isn't. The only sadness I have is that you only seem to stay for one night at any of your locations, it has to be a LOT of work to set up and then tear down your camp in a single 24 hr period. I am also a tent camper, but my camp set up is no where near as luxurious (or heavy) as yours and I do tend to stay for only 1-2 days at any given location, but I have to admit that setting up and tearing down camp does wear me out. Then again, I am a 70 yr old woman often camping solo.

I looove your camping shows!! I watch All the time 😂😊 We camped a lot starting when I was a child. I, hopefully, have a solution y’all might wanna try when it’s raining. The awnings on your tent fill with rainwater. It might help if you stand the poles slanted forward in the top and slanted towards the tent on the bottom of the poles. It should give slightly downward in front and slightly higher in the back of the awning. // like this //. It would be the angle of like the way you pound in your stakes. It’s just an observation. I’m sure you’ve already tried that…😊 Anyhow, I love you two soo much! Y’all make this a wonderful adventure for us all!
