Perfect video for this time of year, and so well shot, lit, and clear to see from both angles. @ 2:11 nice touch were you explain 'kin' is 'family'; (I still need to lipread… hope that isn't a bad thing). Thanks for this! Happy Christmas when it comes and all the best in the New Year!
Thanks I decided to learn sign languages and Your videos help me so much. ❤ ( sorry for my faults, I am learning english as my second language. ) Thanks ❤😊
Signs for the same concept are used. Dan signs 'family' for 'kin' with a very quick aside 'kin: the family', and 'tidings' is signed as 'news'; 'figgy' as 'sweet(s)' etc. (because that's what they are). It works the same way with 'happy' and 'merry'. (Signing syntax isn't identical to English syntax either). Dan will explain better.🙂
You explain BSL very well❤
Love this Dan. Thank you x

Now I'm curious how the Christmas sign developed... many make sense like science or history or hundreds of others.... I wonder how that's christmas
Hey Dan, so is 'Merry' the same as 'Happy'?
