  • There was a time when Wesley Snipes mixed his acting skills with his impressive martial arts moves to dominate the genres of comedy, action, and drama. These days, he is no longer the leading man in blockbuster films, and he wasn’t even asked to reprise his role in the reboot of Blade. Here's why.

What people don't know is that Marvel went bankrupt and in order to save itself it had to go in another direction which was the multi-hero genre. Blade was their first cinematic super-hero movie and it was a banger and is responsible for what Marvel movies have become today. "Ironically" there are claims that Iron-man was the first Marvel movie. They must really hate the fact that he rescued them because it's a lie. Look it up for yourself Wiki will give you a list of all the Marvel movies in order and it will start with Iron-man although Blade came before it. Y'all will believe anything you hear......so damn sad.

I am so sick of hearing that all black women are loud, overbearing, and emotionally detached from "brothers". At this point, all I could do is laugh at these sad, lost "brothers". I remember when the checks to pay them came in, his was never there. Although I made out the time sheets and submitted them at the same time, his would always be a few days late. Once I gave him a ride home when his check didn't come to explain to him that I wasn't the cause of the delay and gave him a 20 dollar bill. He was always sad and hurt by the delay. I remember his sad eyes. Later on in time, I was surprised and proud to see the success that he had in film. He is also a 1983 graduate of my high school alma mater, Jones High School. He came from humble beginnings and it's not hard to see how that kind of success can make you lose yourself. Much luck in the future Wesley.. "There's one for whom we toil......."

Will Smith have never made a terrible comment about a brown or dark skinned woman. Not somebody like Chris Brown I don't care who he dates because he has a mixed-race mother and he's light-skinned but when he made colorist remarks about brown and dark skin women then that's a problem. I don't feel like light-skinned black men or mixed-race men of black descent how to date brown or dark skin women. It's okay for them to date women that look like them now if you have a man like Wesley Snipes color he can date who you want but it's kind of weird when you don't want to date nobody that has your similar skin tone. Then turn around and get mad because others generalize and make negative statements about them! All based off of ethnicity...and anyone who seems to have the same "types" when dating need to analyze themselves on why they keep choosing the same "types" that share those negative characteristics. By the way the treatment is different when it comes to black women. Black men seem to treat other types in a different way, almost like it's done self-consciously....like how a lot of black people treat "others" compared to each other.

Some of the team members were saying one thing while the others were saying something else. We had endless meetings with these people about a project Wesley was to star in. When I finally met Wesley, it turned out he hadn't been prepped. He knew nothing about the project. I had to pitch it to him. I found him very intelligent, even more beautiful in real life than on film, and superbly fit. I liked him a lot and almost told him my uneasiness about his team. I wanted to advise him to fire them; get a new agent, a new manager, and a new business manager. Unfortunately, I was too shy to do it. I will agree that treating people that essentially work for you the wrong way will kill your career in Hollywood. If you're a leader, you treat people with respect period.
I am a pilot and very dark skinned. Black males who went through college and pilot training with me were all dating Caucasian women. Why? Because those are the women who surrounded us in college and our training locations. I don't dislike black women, but I speak like I am well educated. I act like an educated professional. High value men are going to date and probably marry women who accept them for who they are in life. I wouldn't change a thing about my life and my wife is a beautiful engineer of Pakistani descent.

I definitely think life humbled him so I try not to be too angry. Because I know that no human being is perfect. I'm pretty sure that he was born in like the 60s or the fifties so I'm pretty sure back then it was a lot of color resume at dark-skinned men will not a hot commodity and only being closer to European Standard of beauty was acceptable for men and women. That's when El DeBarge, Lionel Richie and Al b sure we're popping back then Michael Jackson was kind of caramel you wasn't too dark and he was also very popular so it wasn't many men out that where the skin tone of Wesley Snipes and Eddie Murphy. And nobody really consider my Michael Jordan attractive he was just a basketball player. So that the plan to make is colorism has a big effect on men and women who don't fit into the standard of European Beauty. So hopefully life has humbled him and he's a better person I definitely believe if we are alive and we have breath in our bodies we can change we can grow and we can become better

I was so hurt by his comments back in the day. But I suspect that he has changed a lot since then. Life has a way of humbling all of us. I think he was feeling himself with all the new fame and exposure

So your saying as long as he publicly embarrassed the black woman in a national magazine he is cool because he answered so dumb questions, but he never apologize for running his big mouth. Ok

Yep! I could never support someone who doesn't support us. I always thought he was in the league of a Denzel Washington and deserve a career of high status. But after he open his mouth against black women, it sicken my stomach. Why the hell would you use your platform to denigrate those that support you. I am glad he got his wake up call.

How’s Wesley going to have an issue with white actors being casted/favoured over him, but then go and marry a non-black woman and say what he did about black women? Make it make sense. Sounds like a loss brother to me 🤷🏾‍♀️

This was an insightful video, I never knew he said those things. I love that other bm stood beside him when he was mistreated by police. I hate that he put down bw. Self hatred runs deep. It’s not hard to date other races w/o putting down your own, ppl are so weird.

Yeah I never knew he said these things either but now I know he said the stuff I well No longer support him at all like if you have a preference date them but don’t bring black women down and talk down on us or take certain acting roles and making us look bad as black women I don’t respect that other races they have there type but I never ever see them disrespect their own culture or race or bring their race down just because they have a preference.

Other black men are going to support each other but not when it comes to bw. We are the least protected. I don’t really care for most black male stars whether it’s in sports, music, or movies. Most of them have set a bad example for the black community notice how most of them are never with a bw when they make it only when they are trying to come up then boom!! Now they don’t want bw. Now we have a new generation of self hating bm who think so badly about bw. We have lifted them up to the point where they tear us down. As bw we need to demand our respect by not supporting them at nothing they do!! Nobody else is going to do it but us. We all we got. I don’t care how talented you are , once I see you have a self hating mentality then I’m done supporting. Let those they think so highly of show them support.

I actually loved Wesley's performance in "To Wong Foo..." It's one of my favorite movies. That said, Wesley should know better than to make those comments about black women. You'd think a DWB episode would knock some sense into him.🙄
