- I just wrapped up a really long recording session and I was planning on creating another of my epic 6-10hr videos since I've not made one of those for a long time. I've been trying different things on the channel, new styles of ASMR, just experimenting with sounds and trying to improve along the way. During this time, I've been gathering objects for my next long video so I've been able to collect some really nice sounding things for you all.
Now, the issue is that they ALL sound so good! So, rather than hiding them all away in a super long video that most people wouldn't watch through to the end, I've decided to start a new series of "solo object triggers". Each object will get its own dedicated video because I really think they deserve the spotlight. After you hear this first one, let me know if you agree!
Ever since I started making ASMR, I’ve always leaned toward long, extended triggers with each item. My challenge is I just can’t stop-I get into the rhythm, experiment with different tempos and pressures, and find myself playing with the same object for too long. That’s why in my longer videos, you’ll often see 1-hour+ triggers.
I've been wondering for a while if I should do this series. Just taking one single item and exploring the plethora of sounds that it can make. There just seems to be a hidden soundscape in everyday objects!
I've called this video ASMR HEAVEN because there's just something about the sounds that hit the spot for me. I really, really like the slow tapping and squeezing on this tiny box of chicken jerky dog treats. Inside the box is a poly bag of dehydrated chicken so there's so many natural layers of sound when you press and tap on the different parts of the thing. These are a real delicacy for my dogs and it turns out they're a delicacy for my ears too!
So, join me as we dive deep into the sounds of this single object. What began as a simple trigger evolved into a symphony of textures and tones, creating a heavenly, immersive ASMR experience-all from just a box of chicken jerky!

I’ve just finished a long recording session and I was initially planning another of those epic 6-10 hour videos. However, all the objects I’ve used sound too good to bury them in a super long video that most people wouldn’t watch through. So, instead I’ve decided to start a new series: "Solo Object Triggers"! Each object will get its own dedicated video so you can hear how many sounds you can get from each one. This way, you can hopefully enjoy the unique sounds that each one has to offer as I'll keep the full length versions of each item.
In this first video, I’m featuring a simple but amazing trigger - a cardboard box of chicken jerky dog treats! I love the slow, gentle tapping sounds as I squeeze through the cardboard to the jerky and poly bag inside. Just so many sound textures that this tiny box produces.
Everyday objects like this have so many hidden soundscapes, and this one has created a truly immersive ASMR experience. Let me know if you think these sounds hit the spot because they really do it for me! 😍🎧 ENJOY 🎧😍

On a weekend afternoon, I'm lying on the floor feeling the autumn air coming through the window. Maybe because I'm drowsy and spent a lot of time on weekdays, I wanted to rest my head, but I feel secure from the tapping of the box and the rustling of the bag inside. The rustling of the box reminds me of the delicious memories. Thank you.👼

So, yeah I like the slow, deep bass tapping sounds mixed with the crinkly packing and crispy chicken pieces inside the box. Excellent sounds as always. As an idea for a futurevideo, I remember in one of your previous videos you had a segment where you were using empty Huel bottles for tapping and it sounded really good. Would be great to do a longer version or just those bottles every now and then if you're up for it!
Noted. I recorded a similar sound this time around. It's just a really wide cardboard tube but it sounds quite similar to the huel bottles. So, watch out for it if it makes this new series.... It just might ❤🥰

I absolutely loved this video,might not be as long time wise,but it sure was just as tingly if not more than some others ive listened by now(probably due to tapping being one of my favourite triggers)so this was a great choice for a trigger❤also the chicken doing tapping was certainly unexpected😂some fun is never wrong

Thank you for the video! I wouldn't have expected a box of chicken jerkey to make such a good ASMR trigger, but here we are. The sounds perfectly fell into the background and helped me focus on writing up something for someone; I feel I wouldn't have made as much quick progress if I hadn't forgotten this was playing!

You've really perfected the fine tuning of the audio
Thank you. The audio is obviously the most important part of ASMR and at the beginning it was by far the hardest part to get right. Now I still think there's a little room for improvement with the audio but what I find hardest to get right now is the camera angles. I'll just keep making more videos and trying to improve ❤🥰

You're welcome, I hope it will soothe you to sleep. I think it will. I usually wake up about 4am and use ASMR to get back to sleep. It' a hit and a miss though, sometimes I can dose back off and sometimes I can't (it depends if I choose the right video). This one worked well for me this morning. Got back to sleep and I'm feeling like a million dollars again ❤🥰

I found these wacky silicone lid things that I'll be listing in this series and those make a cool sticky tapping sound but they also make a whole host of other sounds. You'll see when they go live (they're so unusual) 🥰❤
@@ASMRtroops I’ve seen a couple of ASMRtists use baby bath books.. very tingly! They never go on long enough though so I find myself rewinding the same bit over and over 😂

I do have a deep voice, I know I should make a soft speaking video instead of the whispering type. And wobbly sounds I've considered but not recorded are "panel saw tapping". Panel saws make a really nice wobbly sound. Do you have any wobbly sound ASMR videos you could link to for inspiration?

I hope you like this video, there's not much of any finger tracing in this one but you didn't answer my question from another comment..... about finger tracing you said you like the sound on smooth surfaces and when the sound doesn't end? So like continuous sound without pauses?
I'd love to know what sort of mental state you reach to be able to contentedly tap something for an hour. Do you meditate? Is it a zen-like experience to make these videos? I'm so curious
It's a good question. I like to record when I'm tired so either really late at night or really early bells. I don't have a quiet house so I need to record when people are asleep. But I've tried recording when I'm fresh too. I can tune in much better when I'm half asleep. So, my mental state when I'm recording is usually 'fighting sleep' and just tuning right into the sound. I sometimes have to stop because I can't stay awake 🥰
I don't meditate, but I understand it very well as I've read about Buddhism and I've lived in Buddhist countries. I think I know what Zen is but I believe you can experience Zen quite easily without meditation. I have felt it many times, that feeling like you're part of everything and it's all just one thing. Being up at the top of a mountain looking out across the land as the clouds roll over your head and just feeling the moment, just being there. To me that's Zen. Diving into a cross current and setting your buoyancy to neutral while you just kick back and let the current take you through the reefs, you look up at the waves crashing on the rocks above and just take in the feeling. That's Zen for me. When you truly feel like you're part of nature and we're all just part of one huge and complex unit. That's Zen - but you have to actually feel that.
I'm getting side tracked but recording ASMR doesn't really give me Zen feelings it just relaxes me deeply and makes me mentally tired 🥰❤
@@ASMRtroops Aww thank you for the thorough and thoughtful reply. It makes sense that it's easier to record when you're sleepy; I find certain things like art are easier when I'm tired because the logical and rational parts of my brain release their grip. From there, drifting into flow states is easier.
I love your description of zen & I'm happy you've had those experiences. I've also found that skydiving and being immersed in water are among the most tranquil mental states I can achieve
@@noteventherain Yeah, that would explain it. There's definitely a part of my brain that's switched off when I'm really tired. My thoughts process is slower and subdued. So that's exactly it. When I'm fresh I can't focus on ASMR recording at all.
You're on of the rare breed who finds peace in things that scare most people. I totally relate to that. I'm in the same realm, I have always liked to do dangerous things ❤🥰

Hi Tabish, I just found it on a premium site yes. I wouldn't have time to animate myself but I wish I knew how as there's a niche on TH-cam that does extremely well with very basic animations. I've thought about learning it just to tap into that niche ❤🥰

Using the same tap over and over without a change in tap rate or a change in the tapping dept makes it unbearable to listen to. I've tried several videos and the same tap rate and the same tap debt over and over isn't what does it for me. You have the right idea but change the rate some or it is more like nails on a chalkboard
The changes are there, they're quite subtle at times but that's just the way I wanted this video. I'm all about trying new things though, so I would quite like to try a video with quick fire tap rate changes. Do you have a URL to a tapping video that you really like, maybe I'll get inspiration from it?
