As a dutchie I can't help but adore de Efteling. The rides aren't very exciting thrill-wise, but everything about the scenery & atmosphere is absolutely magical (and makes the waiting a little easier). If you ever come back you should definitely go on the other dark rides! But I know it's a lot for one day, I remember running around like a headless chicken at parks abroad trying to do all lmao
I absolutely loved our day here. We would've loved to see more but we will definitely be back again!! The vibe was soo good and kept us upbeat eventhough we were so tired!

Carnaval festival is NOT a ‘small word rip of’! Walt Disney himself took inspiration from Efteling for his parks!!! So it is literally the other way around

If the python runs with 2 trains, the lift hill speed is lowered, because the track has no mid course break run.
There's lowered....and then there's hardly moving 🤣🤣

Lifthill of python is that slow because there are 2trains on track, if there is 1 train it goes little faster 😂

Apparently the lift hill on Python is so slow to allow them to run two trains.

You should visit this Halloween season, Danse Macabre will open in this period (if there's no hiccup in the ride system, as those tend to happen in one-of's or first-of's)
Piranha just has had a huge update (new pumps, new track decor and new water spitting statues)
Atm the new is starting to show it's size lvl 3 of 7 is nearly complete (at least the exterior)
Hansel & Gretel fairytale is getting a rebuild at this moment
-Did you know: Efteling is aiming to be climate neutral by 2030 and even climate positive by 2032?
I would like to return however we've booked our plans for Halloween this year already. The updates do sound pretty good and it womt be too long until my next visit. And I do like how a lot of parks are getting with tge climate and Eftelling seems to he leading that!
As a giant efteling fan im trying to figure out when you went cause my brain is full of just the different maintenance closings

Actually "its a small world" is a rip-off from "carnaval festival" since carnaval festival has been there longer then its a small world.
It isn't older tho? The first it's a small world opened in Disneyland in 1966, which is nearly 20 before carnival festival. The only small worlds that were build after carnival festival are the ones in Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong

If i would live in the UK, i would take the plane to Eindhoven.
We looked at that but price didn't work out especially for the rest of the road trip we wanted to do.
Disney is made after Efteling.
We knew some of it did inspire Disney we just didn't know how much Disney took aha 😅
