I found him to be an annoying prick at the start (especially when Kamina dies) but after the time skip I really liked him, and he is one of my favourite characters now (King Kittan is fucking epic)
Gurren lagann's artsyle is top tier. I know it isn't the most detailed but thats clearly not the purpose of the style. It works for the comedy, action, and movement they have in the show. And on top of it when they use other artstyles to contrast it looks so good (for example lord genome always had a very sharp, overly scruffy style which made him feel like he didn't belong in the show somewhat but it worked so well)
Ngl Kill la kill and Gurren Lagann art style are beauty to my eyes, it may looks simple but God damn the goofy and funky movements of the characters and objects as well as the angle of the camera is Top tier

Just finished watching it 10 minutes ago, probably one of the best anime i ever seen. Kinda hard in beginning, but after episode 9 or 10 it is pure action, epicness and amazing story. It was so good, that i sat and watched last 10 episodes nonstop.
Tbh 1-7 were just the characters being casual and having a bit of comedy but after Kamina death in episode 8 it seems that it impact all the characters greatly and become more serious because there enemies aren't playing around
