Thank you! I really enjoyed this video. No I really want to make the grandmothers garden quilt like you and Shellie. Can’t wait for your next video.
So fun to spend time getting to know you, Kari! Thanks for making a Stitch-Con newb feel welcome. ❤
Thank you for sharing your recap enjoyed hearing about your experience and all the great goodie’s. Have a wonderful Thursday and happy stitching 😊🪡🧵🤗🤩
love the idea of the epp quilt stitch along
You have some great finds while antiquing! Love the train case so much and the tiger toy! I just ordered some 1.5 inch EPP papers the other day. Perfect timing to do the quilt with y’all. I ordered some lotion bars from Lily. Gotta support a Clemson girl!!
Go Tigers!!!
Kari!!! Greetings from Dallas!!! Loved hearing and seeing the Stitch Con recap!! So much fun!!! Can’t wait for the July Keeper Club box!! Might one of the items be one of Lily’s Lotion bars? Hmm? LOL!!! Thanks so much for sharing all your haul!! ❤️
Thank you 🙏 so much for taking time out to share your beautiful goodie’s from Stitch . Con . I am so grateful that you and Shellie are able to give a class on EPP . Many blessings to you both and your families 🙏🙏🙏 Enjoy your trip 🙏🙏🙏❤️✌️🤗
As always - Fun Kari! Know you had a blast at stitch con and visit and antiquing with Shellie! Such wonderful goodies. I wonder if you would ever consider doing a tutorial on using your vintage linens - I am kinda stuck and stumped on how to use them, which is part of why I shared some of my recently acquired pieces with you and Shellie (so glad they got there for you to open together). Thanks for sharing your fabulous haul.
Great video, Kari. Thank you! Glad you've been having so much fun. :-D
I ordered Lilys lotion bars….they are GREAT! All three scents are my favorite….i can’t pick just one! Good job girl…keep it up!
It sounds like you had an amazing time, wish they did Stitch-Con in Minnesota. I am in love with the Pluim Street Sampler, nice progress on your stitching.
I am not a big fan of some borders, love the sweater bag great idea, love the sock yarn color, I need to learn to knit. I also collect vintage linens, love your new linens. I use Velcro from my favorite needlework shop, all linens stay so taught. Shelly is so sweet, I did watch the video with you and her was so much fun, to see you both. Congratulations to the winners. I am old enough to remember the Dexter machine, so cool you are very lucky.
Love the overnight case, the tiger is adorable, how sweet. I collect flower frog with matching vases. Fun gifts from the retreat.
Cool stuff, all so pretty, Fun items, Maybe that bottle looking item was an oil container & funnel system.
The haul to end all hauls! So many special things. Such a joy to watch. Hugs!❤
Thanks so much
Thank you for sharing all your stitchy goodness. Loved all of it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved seeing and hearing about all your adventures. I think I might join the grumpysusanqal 😍 I've been wanting to do a hexie pp project and this just might be the push. Today in the mail I received Lily's lotion bars. Excited to use them and share with my sisters.
Kari, you had a great time, and thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved seeing your retreat gifts and all the treasures you found!
So glad!
Great video Kari! Your enthusiasm is infectious! Fun hearing about your adventures. So excited to have won one of the patterns. Take care! ❤
Yay! Thank you!
I remember some sort of battery powered handheld version of your mini sewing machine As Seen On TV when I was a kid in the late 90s/early 2000s and 1) thought it was the coolest thing ever and 2) grossly overestimated how often I'd need to fix a curtain hem while they were hanging. 😂
It would be super cool to take that vintage stitch with the calendar, frame it with a magnetic board of some sort underneath and then make a bunch of numbered tiles/buttons (I picture Scrabble tiles but numbers) with magnets on the back so you could adjust it each month and actually use it.
Anyways, I'm glad you had a great tike at StitchCon!
FYI, the Handi clamp scroll rod is great. To get it tight be sure to cut off any selvage from your linen. The selvage distorts the linen on one side so it will be loose. Plus your linen may have been bunched up or folded a little on one side. Also a problem to getting it tight. Once the selvage is gone you should be able to smooth it out and everything will roll up evenly. Lastly get the the magnetic cable organizers that are popular for stitchers from Amazon. These work like clamps on the sides of your fabric, and anchor over the side bars to keep things taught. Oops one more hint stitching to the far left or right may be difficult so remember you can flip your stitching totally upside down and the stitches are the same just flip your pattern around too and stitch on the side that is more comfortable for you. Have fun
So many fun finds. Stitch con looks like so much fun with the stitchy community ❤ thanks for sharing your adventures
I loved this episode! What wonderful adventures you had. The vintage stitching would be calling to me, too. Now you have tempted me to try EPP and the Grumpy Susan quilt.
Fabulous video. Love Lily choice of collage studies. Genetics always sounded so interesting
Itt was so much fun Antique Shopping with you!❤❤
Yes it was! The sock blocker find is the BEST
Great video. Thanks for all of the information on Stitch Con. Sounded great. Lots of inspiration. I am looking forward to the instruction for the grandma's flower garden hexagon quilt.
Thanks so much!
Cuteness galore! I have not had good results with the glue basting so have gone back to traditional way of joining hexies. hugs
Wonderful episode, as always!❤
It was so nice to meet you at stitch con, I'm so glad you liked the 2024 Stitch Con tomato bag. Thanks for sharing all of your goodies. Janine
Annabella's has really cute berry patterns to make pillows for berry baskets!! Wow what a lot of great things!! I have never really done a lot of EEP - tried and did like it but never really did anything but a small sample.
I love all the gifts , wow
Lowery frame is a game changer. I love mine
Great recommendation. That one is on the list for sure.
Loved the movie 😂 I loved seeing the retreat gifts especially as I am attending Stitch Florida in July first timer a little nervous but I’m doing it!!! I am seriously thinking of the epp seriously I’ll bring it to the retreat if I do!!! Happy stitching 🪡
Great video- fun to see all the goodies!
Thanks so much!
Those dollies that you call Sunbonnet Sue’s are actually called Crinoline Doilies. Just an FYI.
I love that bag I got the pattern for it
Can wait to hear about the English paper piecing project. Fat quarters and paper ordered today!! Please share where the clear containers came from to for storage if you can when you share.
I also have a millennium frames and I love it, but it’s really heavy so you definitely need to stand with that one, but I wouldn’t trade my millenniums for anything. I have three of those and different sizes.
Love your videos! I’m wondering if your unique table gift was a divot filler for golf?
Love this flosstube. Love all your creative roads.
Totally on board for the quilt along.
Where did you get the clear plastic containers to hold your fabrics?
Thanks for everything Julie
It was a pleasure meeting you at Stitch-Con! The adorable Stitchy Bus was made by Faye @fayeshanor2695. For quilting, I am working on a 5/8" hexagon quilt, so I'm excited to participate with your 1 1/5" hexie quilt-along! I cut my hexies by hand, but very interested in the Sissix mentioned. Are you cutting your hexies larger than 1 1/5 for seam allowance? Great video, and looking forward to your next ❤️🧵🪡
