I could never give myself a haircut and I keep a shaven head and beard/mustache only. This man has talent to be able to feel where the clippers are cutting on the back of his head, etc. The man gave himself a wonderful cut. His beard looks wonderful! It is not the usual shabby unkempt beards many people have (like I consider mine sometimes). It is short, very neat and fits his face beautifully! He looks beautiful after the cut. That is not to state he did not look the same prior to the cut.

Cut your own hair is the best way to get into barbering. As long as you accept the possibility of plan B (buzzcut) you have nothing to lose. When you get better you can convince friends to get a cut by you. Its also easier on someone else than yourself.
