Thank you for this review! I like the change in stock also. :)One of the reasons we decided to add in the rune card (and yes, you are right, we should have identified it!!!!) was that we tried to acknowledge as many thought processes and beliefs as possible to show that Empathic ability is universal. Our hope is that these cards have multi uses, divination (the last part in each description) meditation (the first part, the quote) and then a teaching tool (the mid part of each description)....learning about the tools, challenges, obstacles and rewards in being an empath. Thank you for all that you do in this area!!!

Oh wow, I really like that Gaslighting card. It’s been a big topic in my world lately. (You probably looked it up already, but it’s named after the play/movie Gaslight, and it’s essentially when someone convinces you that there’s something wrong with you that isn’t really there as a way to keeping you in control or dependent on them.)
Yes I have definitely found it out though I love how you describe it, sadly this is an example of what fundamental religion and my ex accomplished O.O so I guess that will be an important card for me!
I had a similar response to this card! Went to check and see if anyone else in the comments mentioned it, and found this one. It's a serious issue in relationships with fundamentalists, narcissists, and. . .theatre directors/acting teachers. . .ugh. Sadly -- I also left a Buddhist organization that i was devoted to because the head of the order gaslit me in a truly shocking way that was part of a larger attempt to control and manipulate our entire sangha. Pretty important card, really. I'm totally getting this deck after seeing this video. I missed it first time around!

I just got the Shamanic Healing cards yesterday! But, I think I like this deck even better! I love the groups of cards, the seasons and elements especially.... thanks for a good review. And I’m not going to define gaslighting as I see several other folks already have!!!

The Truth In Story, you should make your own tarot or oracle deck. I feel like if you made your own deck it would be an amazing deck!

Gaslighting is a term derived from a drama, an on-stage show. It's an old classic that I actually was a part of years and years ago when I was in theatre. A man marries a wealthy woman and in order to have full control of her wealth he sets up situations over the course of years to make her believe she is going crazy. His end goal is to have her legally declared incompetent and it's a term I've heard people of all ages use not even knowing why they are using it, but knowing what it conveys. My husband used it once and I smiled, he asked me why and I asked him where he heard it and he couldn't tell me so I explained the story.

I do enjoy them, they don't hit me as high as the Shamanic Healing Cards but I do love having them!

These would be terrific for counseling “homework” and maybe having a token pic to remind yourself of the lesson for the week. And using The questions for someone to choose to write on during journal writing time. . Any idea how to present them more as a topic for discussion and less like “tarot or oracle” that might freak someone out.
I know people who use "story" cards so maybe "emotional story cards" or something like that?
I love this deck. It delivers great readings. Gaslight is one of my fav movies starring Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer. It's a psychological thriller in which Charles manipulates Ingrid to the point where she questions her sanity. So the meaning of gaslight is to psychologically manipulate an individual. Watch the movie!

@@TheTruthinStory It's actually a recognized psychological term used in the therapeutic community that has recently entered the popular discourse. It refers to a very specific kind of psychological manipulation that can lead a person to doubt their own perceptions. Gaslighting occurs when someone does an act such as cheats on spouse in a shared bed. Then maybe the persons they were cheating with leaves a piece of clothing behind. The spouse who was being cheated on finds the clothing and tries to inquire about what it is doing there. Rather than own up to the cheating the abusive manipulator will then lie to the spouse and say something like, "oh don't you remember, I bought that for you last week." The Gaslighting occurs in the attempt to manipulate the other's own perceived reality. If often involves the abuser telling their victim that they remember things incorrectly or that they are constantly misperceiving or misunderstanding a situation. Internally the victim, after many offences by the abuser, begins to doubt themselves severely. This self doubt can severely damage the self. Therapy may be required after Gaslighting has occurred consistently.
Remembering this deck is an empath oracle, and I am an empath, it is perfectly written

Thank you Kelly for showing the deck, I thought I will have to wait quite a bit before I can see all the cards. I love her fist oracle, it's on my top 10 so I was very excited about this one. Yay for the the card stock, Nay for the choice of artwork and construction. I'm kind of disappointed. All the Chakra cards, the seasons, Moon and the sun ect. are all cards I call the "stock cards", you can add them to almost any oracle deck to fill it up. While the first was better thought through, with this one there is sth more commercial I don't enjoy at all. We shall see, maybe I could take out couple of cards 🤷♀️

jamieloom My friend Patrick and his wife have a shop in Maine and I buy them there :) I don’t think they list them on their shop as the ones they have are rotating but you can message alittlemad on Instagram to see what they have :)

Ooh, wow. Now I'm torn!! I have been pondering the Shamanic Healing deck for a long time, and I actually do think I prefer it to this one in terms of keywords... but the cardstock!! I almost wish the backs for the decks were the same so they could be easily combined into one big supersize deck since they're already the same size...
I trimmed the Empathic Oracle, and it's beautiful. Unfortunately the other deck's images are not the same size, and I had trimmed that first. It would have been neat if they were the same size, but no big deal. I've also been wondering about using them together.
I picked up this deck and already have the shamanic healing oracle and YES I love them together. I so hope they rerelease the shamanic oracle in the same matte finish because I would repurchase it for sure!

I see how old this video is, but I just came upon it. You may have figured out what gaslighting is by now. If you don't know, congratulations, you are not an empath and have never attracted a narcissist into your life! BTW, the term is loosely based on the title of an old film called "Gaslight," in which a man tries to make a woman lose her sanity by deception and denying the truth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaslight_(1944_film). Gaslighting has become a buzzword for narcissistic sociopathic behavior in relationships. It's a very sad and terrible thing that bad people do to good people.

gaslighting is a term popular now for basically subtly instigating someone into acting or reaction usually in a negative way, think trolling.
The Shamanic Oracle has been on my wish list for some time but this one might override it with the matt card stock and beautiful backing's!
