This was actually a concert not an award show. They are still like that in the concerts, all free and energetic whereas award shows are more formal and have to follow a set of rules and the choregraphies
This was their Japan concert in 2016. And yes that was 2 songs (fun boyz or boys with fun and Rise of bangtan or attack on bangtan. They can be called either). These were actually Japanese version of their songs because in Japan they sing in Japanese. Originally these songs do have choreo but this was just the hype part of the concert so they just run around and have fun with the songs.

They are always like that in concert, you just haven't seen the full shows 😉 this is the end of the show, so all the vocal and choreo heavy songs are done and the boys must vibe, same thing took place during the most recent 2019 tour as well; award shows are a different thing entirely, so...😄

This performance is actually from one of their concerts in Japan, not an award show. They goof through a lot of this performance and it's so much fun bc they're just being themselves with the fans
Actually there are two songs “Boy with fun and rise of bangtan” and BTS in awards show different from their own concerts they killed their concerts literally with all kinds of emotions and songs you should react to bts medley speak yourself tour final and check the lyrics of this two songs please they are amazing

This is how they are at literally EVERY concert. They start off with well well choreographed songs and towards the end of their concert they go crazy and do their own thing! The energy is INSANE

The first song they did was Boys With Fun and the second song was Attack on Bangtan (you should watch the dance practice if you want to see the choreo for it!) You've been mostly watching their award shows which is definitely timed down to every detail. But in their concerts they always have a few songs where they get to just go crazy and enjoy the energy on stage without worrying too much about choreo. You could also check out the Dope + Silver Spoon + Fire + Run medley performance if you want to see them enjoying the stage with just doing whatever they want.
I also highly suggest watching the cyphers 1 - 4 from the rap line and then the cypher medley live performance!

welp it's different cause its a concert not an award show and this was three years after debut and even their recent concerts are still this hype so not much has changed and ofc there are songs where they don't have a choreo and just vibe

Attack on Bangtan (or Rise of Bangtan) is one of my favorites! Watch some of their music show live performances of the song to see the awesome choreo that goes with it. The song is basically them flexing that they're on the rise and they're going to dominate the music scene.
I don't think you noticed, but both these songs were sung in Japanese. BTS members all speak Japanese to varying degrees, but I know RM is pretty fluent, and I think a few other members are pretty comfortable in Japanese (more than English). BTS are very popular in Japan and they release a lot of their songs in Japanese, they also have a number of really good original songs only in Japanese. This actually was 2 songs flowing together done in concert. Even today not every concert song utilizes choreographies even if they are available. Many times BTS performs "free style" during songs using a rough template but showing notable performance variance based on their whims concert to concert.
Award shows are multi-performer events so tend to be predesigned with much forethought and largely one time events presentation-wise , which is why they often are next level treats.
What you watched in this reaction was relatively early BTS and representative of the more energetic side of their catalog at the time.

Their concert lasts over 2 to 3 hours. Of course they will perform formed and choreographed dance routines like you described but they also will have this kind of free & high energy medley songs sections as well in a concert. You get to see both sides of them in a concert.

At BTS concerts now, they still do medleys with rearranged instrumentals and it still sounds just like this. They have their more high scale parts with choreo and stage effects and then the looser parts like this video where they just run around the stage and go off. TBH, this kind of sound is really BTS's core. Award shows and TV show performances are NOT the same as BTS's own concerts. You should definitely watch more concert videos!

Lol, that's cause this is from one of their concerts. For award shows, they try to keep it more "professional" and stick to the choreo. 1:37 nah not a new still this was old-school BTS. Also this wasn't an award show it was one of their concerts. The two songs that were performed Boyz With Fun (1st) and Attack of Bangtan (2nd) both have full choreos but often times during their concerts they might just have fun on the stage doing whatever they want then towards the end the come together and do part of the choreographers. These videos are Concerts. BTS stands for Bangtan Soyeondan which mean Bulletproof Boyscout in English. This song is called the Rise of Bangtan, so This video is the Rise of BTS. Their first big Tour was the Red Bullet Tour.

Yeah usually we do, totally depends on our situation where we're reacting from. For this we were in the basement watching it on a tv, which means lining up the video with it and pausing makes it horrible to edit

When u react to a video can u pause it and than talk it hard to listen to the video
I would suggest less talking over the video cause u miss a lot of the vocals that happens especially during live performances because they change a lot of the melodies or vocals
