It was an honor sharing this with your Sammy! This will be the start of many days we dedicate to this beautiful country which has taken us in as well. Great work as always on your part 🙏
Sam, What a great documentary you produced! Thank you for highlighting the Father Ray's. You sir are growing in so many ways. Blessing to you and LeLe.
story, history, culture. Your niche is getting there Sam! Everyone talks about the bright side of Thailand. Maybe you should do the darkside of Thailand.
I have visited the father Ray orphanage in Pattaya while on vacation - I made a donation of snacks and toys also a small cash donation - it was an heart warming experience meeting some kids.
Reminds me of Fred Hollows Foundation and one persons dedication can make a huge difference to so many young people’s lives .. Must say it brings tears to anyone’s eye and many of us including me whinge about the most trivial things .. Well done on the vid and from a viewers point of view ?? This bloke has talent together with the support of your Thai partner 😊🍺
Thank you for doing this vlog. Like you, I have a career in the child protection and welfare industry. Your vlog reinvigorated my passion to continue when I relocate to Thailand next year. Cheers mate 👍
Its 4.43am and I am having a bad pain night, thou I am fortunate in regards to those 100’s of children Father Ray was a remarkable man, what a beautiful orphanage, looking after all the children, educating them in all aspects, thanks Sam for giving us such a in-depth documentary
@@GoneAdrift thanks mate in regards to the podcast, I’ll be sure to look it up, the pain is horrendous, restricts blood flow to the outer limbs and yes I will see you soon
This is the side of Thailand that you don't see on just bout any vids about Thailand. Major props to you and your friend for presenting this video out to be seen.
@@bobbyt7448 Oh. I meant from the vids I've seen. They talk about various aspects of Thailand except this part. I've never seen this but it's not a big surprise to me.
Hi Sam, after seeing your documentary I have donated to this very worthy cause. What a wonderful person father Ray was and such an inspiring story you told. Thank you.
Sam, this is a wonderful video. As I am local to Pattaya, I will visit the foundation sometime (currently it's raining and closing in an hour), while my funds are currently tight, I can still look into volunteer work and maybe teach the kids guitar, as my way of saying thanks to the people. (Cheers, Mike)
Awesome video Sam a lot of sad stories there Retired working for you has also done a few stories like this its so sad to see so many children in need of care like this
Hi Sam & LeLe & Ramsey This was very emotional video to watch, congratulations for showing some love to these poor unfortunate children and showing them that there is people who care ad love them Sometimes in our own life we get stuck I think we could all try ad help others less fortunate than ourself. I was planing to visit one of the orphanages in Pattaya on my last trip to Thailand but unfortunately my sister passed away so I had to return home to Ireland. I was planing doing this trip, so it was great to see your video and the generosity of Ramsey and his partner send him my regards please. I will definitely been making sure I do this on my next trip. Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
Great video mate these kids deserve all the love in the world. Really heart warning 1 of my best friends has Cerebral palsy it's tough for me to see his condition getting worse over the years
This was a moving video. I will be in Chonburi this October. I am considering sponsoring a lunch b/c Thanksgiving in my favorite holiday and it would be heart warming to feed so many people for lunch.
There is another charity for children in Pattaya, "Hands to Hands". This organization offers daytime care for poor children in Pattaya so they have a safe environment to stay in. The organization also does visits to the local jail.
I have often wondered what happens to unwanted kids from the sex industry, today with 43,000 prostitutes, and many men flying in and out, you would think there would be many more . Are birth control and abortion more accessible now, or do they take the kids back to their parents in the country?
I believe these days Child Protection here is far more robust than it was in the 90’s. Offenders are prosecuted and the government tries to place abandoned children first with relatives and then consider NGO’s as a second option
I was one of the first kids taken in by the Pattaya Orphanage in 1974.
Oh Robert that is so special to hear!!!!!

Given the fact that the Thai monarch is one of the, if not the richest in the world, just makes you think how selfish humans can get 🤔
Governments will spend 1,000's of millions on weapons (BILLIONS) but next to nothing on its people in need. Poor children. steven
