Personally I feel this op does everything right that op 16 misses, every character is serious and focused, the colors are simplistic and balanced, and battlefield looks ominous and the action is clean
I love opening 16 but I’ll agree this one sums up where the story is better. And the spy theme is awesome. 16 has good foreshadowing too, and looks cool, but it’s more of a tribute to the series as a whole. I think it released to celebrate 400 episodes of Shippuden if I remember correctly.
I always wondered why I liked this intro so much. It gives me a spy type of feel and then I reheard the Teen Titans intro and I thought to myself “that’s why this sounds so hard to me.”
In the brief few seconds where it sounds epic and you can only hear the guitar you get really good vibes from it then the detective theme kicks in and it kind of seems out of place but you still really like it
I love how it shows Onoki inspiring the other Kage, especially since Madara recognized that Onoki's spirit was the thing keeping them going and what he needed to break.
I freakin love this opening. Also instead of showing the entire massive battle, this opening focuses on the 3 main individual battles that were happening back to back
