- This video shows how awesome Hockey players are, on and off the ice. Little things like the ones the players do in this video can make a fan´s day or making a little kid´s dream come true. To be a good Hockey player, you have to be good not only on the ice, but off the ice too.
Giving back to the fans is important, little things like shaking hands, say "Hi", giving a puck or a stick, taking a photo and
signing an autograph can make them really happy.

Ovechkin meeting the young kid was the best one!❤
The kid practicing with the Hawks was great. Hearing Toews even hold it together and telling the kid to stay strong knowing that the battle is going to be one hell of one definitely puts a lump in your throat.
It's nice when goalies let a goal on purpose on a kid
Its even better when they try a little and they get scored on anyway 😁
It's also nice when they do stop it cause I think the kid can kinda understand they're letting them score so it's nice to be like "oh he actually tried"

Hockey players are a special breed. They fight like crazy men on the ice, but have so much heart.
6:06... crying like a baby over here. That reaction just says it all. Damn I love hockey. It's the pros job to play hard with tenacity on the ice for their teams. I see so much hate on other videos for this player or that. I don't understand it. Always remember these guys hang up the gear and leave all of that on the ice. And then they go and do stuff like this. Absolute class.

Hockey players are funny because when dealing with each other they are rough and mean but when dealing with the fans they are truly some of the nicest people. My dad was at a restaurant when Bobby Orr walked in (he was a regular there) and my dad got a photo with him holding me. So classy.

Sure, could be for promotional or image reasons but it sure doesn't look like it. They just seem genuinenly nice and that's so heartwarming.

When my brother turned like 10 me and my family went to a sharks game for his birthday and we got to fistbump the players and we got a signed puck by Martin Jones
The habs fans who trash talk PK should pound sand. I'm from Chicago and I've heard about his charity work for kids since he entered the league. So when he laces up I might not be a fan, even more so now being at Nashville, but as a person and him off the ice, I would never talk trash about him. especially if he was donating his time and 3+ million to help kids in need in my city.. and not trying to be biased cause I know all teams and players go above and beyond, but if everyone likes these videos. check out the"one goal"videos put out by the Hawks org. If the Patrick Sharp one doesn't tear u up a little then you're prob the person who disliked this

This was the 4th time that I've seen it and my eyes teared up each time.
Hockey players are more real and down to earth than many other athletes. I think it's because of the working class background of hockey in general. At least here in Sweden hockey is a blue color working class sport. I suspect it's the same in Canada and USA.
MrFelixify indeed it is here in Canada. It's one of our stereotypes that is somewhat true. Most of us played at some point in our lives.
When we had our AHL team(s) in my city (getting a major junior league team soon!), it wouldn't be uncommon to see some of the players and staff out and about at times. They did alot of community outreach as well. I seen the St. John's Maple Leafs (former Toronto Maple Leafs farm team) in school growing up on the regular!
Same here in Finland, players goes to charities and meets people on the streets, donates to charity and meet fans when they can. Couple hockey players i know personally from Liiga are really nice people! PS i hope we meet Tre Kronor on the ice ;)
It is in America. Lot of players from here come from pretty modest backgrounds along with those all over from what I've seen, and even when they make a good amount of money they by and large stay pretty humble. It's also why they seem so genuine in there outreach to their fans. They recognize how much they mean to the people who cheer for them. I'm a Caps fan and Ovechkin grew up in a crumbling blue collar neighborhood on the outskirts of Moscow. He always demonstrates his character to his fans.

I think it's because parents and families are deeply involve if the kids play hockey. You're not going to act like a dick in front of mom and dad.
What I think is funny is that when the hockey players come up to kids they all act awkward and shy :)
That's how I always am whenever I meet my idols (my favorite band, I have done it)
P.K Subban is an absolute class act.
As much as I dislike Duncan Keith I have to say that made me tear up a bit to see him do that so props to him

I'm a huge Bruins fan and as such considered P.K. Subban as public enemy No. 1 when he was with the Habs, but the more I see how much of a class act he is off the ice, the more I respect him. Plus he's a pretty sick hockey player, too.

Funny,cuz i met Corey Crawford before and hes nice asf speaking for NHL players who are Nice asf, though NFL players i met Odell Beckham Jr. and he was very hilarious and chill,and Tony Stark-kind of wich makes me like him more, Dont get me wrong,NHL and NFL are both incredible leagues with amazing players
I was on the ice with Gordie Howe & Red Wings legends when I was 7 yrs old. Gordie took me into boards, gave me his favorite elbow & the Gordie wink. I am 78 now & rember that moment as clear as day. Mr. Hockey, alot of class.
