    here is a sad story ,, I have been studying Japanese for the past 12 years ,,, then when I applied for a tourist Visa to visit Japan I get rejected not because I don't have a job or I am not able to support myself ,,, but because I am Syrian, and they had fear that I maybe an immigrant .... anyway I just feel like I wasted my time studying the language

    • @yasmeenahmed7989
      @yasmeenahmed7989 7 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Yousef Shawa That's really sad... but I don't feel you wasted your time . Why don't you try getting a Job using Japanese language or get any other certificate and try again.
      ولا تنسى يا اخى ان الله سبحانه وتعالى قال: (وان سعيه سوف يرى) وقال : (لا يكلف الله نفسا الا وسعها)
      And don't say because you're Syrian. Being Syrian has nothing to do with being good or bad person. But people are getting more ignorant day after day.

    I am deeply confused as to what the on and kun readings are, and the difference between them. (Like what is on reading, and what is kun reading? Can someone explain please? Thank you!

    • @joestrong
      @joestrong 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rubsy Moon In most cases use the On reading is used in a compound word, the kun reading is used when it's on its own. On/Kun came about when Japan adopted the Chinese characters (On is the Chinese reading)

      Hi MichjLoh,
      Thank you for posting.
      Kanji characters were originally came from China about 1600 years ago. On-reading is based on Chinese reading while kun-reading was invented in Japan.
      Keep studying with JapanesePod101.com

    Which Kanji should you start learning first? Because I can't find a list of N5 kanji, I can only find grade 1 kanji, are they the same thing?

    • @jamiedaniel8202
      @jamiedaniel8202 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      FiveADay Kanji So does it go N5-N1? And also is there an order that you should follow?

      I suggest you also learn Traditional Chinese characters.
      Once you know both Traditional and Simplified Chinese Characters, it will be very easy for you to read Kanji.
