السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I want to clear a few things up. Firstly, the reason why the mic is in my hand and not set up on a mic stand instead is because the masjid is newly built with no mic stand available, there are also sisters praying upstairs and they would not be able to follow the prayer if the mic wasn’t used. Secondly, the reason why I’m not in a thobe (Although it’s not compulsory, however it is the sunnah of our prophet ﷺ and it is mistahab especially during prayer) is because I was out in the field all day and lead the prayer spontaneously, With no anticipation. Finally the reason why I wore the hat is because I felt it would be better etiquette to cover the head while leading the prayer, and when I went to sujood it came off as my forehead made contact with the floor.

If one of you has to praise his friend at all, he should say: I think (him to be) so and Allah knows it well and I do not know the secret of the heart and Allah knows the destined end, and I cannot testify his purity against Allah but (he appears) to be so and so.

Subanallah I would love to take tajweed lessons with this brother with such a beautiful voice, I just watched another video of his talking about beautifying your recitation of the Quran and it’s something I never cross my mind but always wanted to read the Quran in a beautiful mannar and I’ve already done my tajweed lesson as a 13 years old child before reading the Quran and then I stopped reading the Quran as I was growing out of high school and I completely lost in touch with the Quran once I got into my working life as a 17 years old and after that i had no connection with Islam or the Quran as I started growing older and walking around in ignorance and thinking about life I became agnostic and a decade ago subanallah Allah through his wisdom blessed me with shaikh Ahmed deedat who restored this beautiful faith back into my heart and inspired me to read and learn about the Quran for myself and my journey through reading and learning about the Quran is one the most unbelievable life changing experience I’ve witnessed with my mind heart and soul, which deeply rooted inside of my for eternity without a shadow of a doubt inshallah, the unparalleled power and beauty of the Quran and its true wisdom and my mind subconsciously evolves around the treasures knowledge and wisdom of the Quran (God’s words) and I recently started reading the Quran in Arabic and I’ve been memorising verse and small chapters of the Quran (God’s words) and I’m 32 years old I’ve been thinking about attending classes for memorising as much as I can and after watching another videos of this brother reciting the Quran with such a beautiful voice he was talking about learning haw to recite the Quran and gaining a good voice and it had to do with tajweed and it got me thinking about learning my tajweed which I’ve already done as a child but I think I’ve lost it and it’s got me thinking after listening to this brother talk about it and hearing his beautiful voice in this video reciting the Quran makes want to do this naw subanallah the beauty and wisdom of the Quran is unbelievable and I’ve just realised tajweed is one of the beauty of the Quran and I say this with my heart on it.
Jazakallah Khair for sharing your journey with the Quran! I had a different one but I also came closer to the deen by reading the Quran and connecting deeply with it. Once I realized how incredible it was, and it’s truly a gift from Allah I also started learning how to recite well. Yes it requires Tajweed and Makharij (articulation of the letters) once you have that you’ll recite beautifully in shaa Allah. Don’t focus on the time you lost not learning, and focus on now. Make sincere dua to Allah, and begin taking the steps to learn how to properly recite every letter and then the Tajweed rules, it’s a journey and will take time and effort. I’m on it as well. Rely on Allah and you’ll never fail. May Allah make you a great reciter of Quran, a Hafiz and one of the Ahlul Quran (people of Quran). And May Allah bless Yahya for influencing us to work harder at reciting the book of Allah. *I’ve heard stories of an elderly lady who became a Hafiz in my city! Don’t be discouraged by your age, you’re still alive and have the opportunity, take it!

I can't stop crying
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas and Ibn 'Umar, who attributed the Hadith to the Prophet (ﷺ) that he said:
“It is not permissible for a man to give a gift then take it back, except what a father gives to his child.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلاَّدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، وَابْنِ، عُمَرَ يَرْفَعَانِ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَحِلُّ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يُعْطِيَ الْعَطِيَّةَ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعَ فِيهَا إِلاَّ الْوَالِدَ فِيمَا يُعْطِي وَلَدَهُ " .
